Darkmoon Faire
Today was my inaugural trip to the Darkmoon Faire. My first
impression of it is the uniqueness of it all, this is certainly not something I
have ever seen in EQ or Final Fantasy. While looking around at the carnival
atmosphere, I definitely saw opportunities for equipment that I might not
normal have access to. I love the fact that the equipment is available for
anyone of any level, through the ticket prize system. The random prize pack for
the lower level n00bs are nice packages, but things like the higher end Amulet of the Darkmoon are the
highly sought after items.
There is also a fortune teller that asks you some questions about how you would
handle a situation. Based on those answers, he buffs you for two hours.
My Buff was a 10% increase to my intelligence. He also gives you an actual
fortune to take with you, but I haven't figured out how to read/use that yet -
if it gets used at all.
Overall, I think this is a fun little addition to the game and I would suggest
you meander on over to Goldshire to check it out this week.

... or Mulgore in two weeks if you happen to be the better of the two sides.

It is just outside Thunder Bluff on the Horde side as well!

The fortune he gives you becomes a quest when you open it (right click like any other interaction)...at least it did for me. You have to actually choose to take a paper copy from him.
