It would seem that there is some trouble over at the WoW headquarters!
They have over 30
servers that are down for ISP maintenance. I hate when they go
down... Although, I will say that it seems rare that a bunch of servers
go down outside of the normal weekly maintenance timeframe.
What do you guys do during downtime?

I grumble!
Normally I only catch the start of the maintenance, as I'm usually only online to do my morning Auction House and crafting duties. This morning was especially a pain though, given the abrupt nature of the maintenance and my inability to log on last night.
Normally I take the time to peruse the forums and blogs, as well as update my crafting and Auctioneering spreadsheets I keep. I usually keep this up for about ten minutes, then I get frustrated with sitting at my computer and not playing WoW, so I email myself the sheets and head up to work and keep at it. :P Confound those infernal maintenance downtimes, driving me to work early!

Actually, as hard as it is to believe, I do have other games. I typically play GTA:SA when WoW is down for some reason. Or heaven forbid, I read RSS feeds, email, cleanup around the house, etc...

I don't play WoW anywhere near as much as other folks here, I suspect. Between work, freelance, kids, wife & friends, I can only sneak about 6 hours a week to play, so downtime doesn't affect me much. I try to block out a chunk of consecutive time to play, so on the rare occasions when I'm trying to get on and the servers are down (it's only happened twice I think) I'll have some free time on my hands.
I usually head out to a local bar and have a beer or five.

Downtime = teh suck.
I usually get my laundry / house cleaning done while I wait... You know, stuff I should be doing instead of playing WoW al day.
