Age old debate?

Casual vs. Hardcore, Raider vs. Solo, etc etc. If you have been combing through the forums daily with
me, I am sure you see the same threads about how blizzard is ignoring the soloing population of Warcraft. Well, Blizzard
is silent no longer; they have released a small statement
in the forums to address everyone making the comments. To summarize for you, they are working on it! Development and
testing takes time, based on the number of developers they have.
Blizzard is also still experimenting with
ways to fix problems such as rewarding questing at level 60 or stat progression for non-raiders. I am sure we each have
in-depth opinions on how they can fix it, so feel free to drop them here once the comment system is back up. You can
also post your comments to blizzard in this new
thread.

The link doesn't work. What was the small statement?

Now I'm only 35, but alot of that was done solo.. I think there should be a "single person" instance that scales to your level, make it a quest even. :) I get stuck alone alot, since I get off work at 11pm and play till 3am lol.

I've recently been feeling the "friction" of the casual vs. hardcore discussion. My guild is quite small, built primarily from groups of RL friends. As I've hit 60, I've started PvPing and wanting to raid more, but I've watched other friends leave guilds like mine to join the raiding guilds on my server, get burned by them, then either quit the guild or the game altogether. I am wanting to avoid this by forging my guild into a "casual raiding" guild, one that maintains its identity of a laid-back, funloving guild, but can still hit some of the higher end instances and put together competent PvP teams. A pipe dream, maybe. My guild seems to be amenable to it, but when it comes to making it happen, I seem to be the only one willing to lead the charge.
It's tough.
Solo content might be good, too. But then, solo instanced content is an issue from level 20 on, not just at endgame. The idea is intriguing, but I've not given it much thought. It'd be interesting to see how they would do it.
