Patch 1.9 is here!

It's patch day! 1.9 is
finally here, bringing with it a host of
extras, from the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj to a paladin overhaul and the linked auction house system. While it's
downloading, why not read the patch notes to whet your appetite?European players will have to wait until tomorrow, of course, but at least we know it's on its way.

I have been searching everywhere to find out if I am the only one who noticed the interesting phonetics of a main part of this patch.

What do you think, is there something behind the name, some hidden meaning? Or is it just me..

Ack! I just looked at the new Pally talent chart! My skills are all over the place now! Maybe it'll be good for me, but it still sucks to try and figure things out again. My combat is really going to suck even more for a bit! :P

So here's my question. If this is 1.9, doesn't that make the next patch 2.0? Are we months away from playing WoW 2?

No, next patch will be 1.10.

Isn't 1.10 the same as 1.1? The next patch could ve 1.95 or something like that, and if it is 2.0, I doubt they will be calling it WoW 2.

2.0 wil most likely happen at the expansion and 1.10 simply doesn't have to be the same as 1.1, i think they will go to 1.10 the next time.
as for why euro is one day later, why not? they really don't need a day longer to read all the german and french. in a way it has it's good sides, when something goes horrible wrong in america the euro's don't have to suffer also but just wait a little longer.

It would be 1.9 followed by 1.10 and 1.11, etc...
It's not just a number (where 1.10 *is* the same as 1.1), but is the version number (1) followed by a point (.) then the revision number (9)
Reading the US forums, it seems that 1.9 has several, erm, "issues". Can't wait to experience them myself this afternoon...

Euros are waiting a day because our maintenance slot is on Wednesdays, it's that simple. Putting both slots on the same day would be a nightmare for Blizzard, so they delay them by a day so that any issues the European team have can be ironed out by an American team who did it all yesterday, not an American team who are hastily trying to fight fires of their own. :)

Bit of a shame that (as usual?) some of the EU servers are *still* down after the patch... bugged quest logs and/or network outage is being blamed...

Mac version? where is the Mac version mirrored? ive googled for it over & over now. cant stand waiting for the snails'pace of WoW downloader.
