Fishing on the Fritz

The fish in WoW seem to be becoming more studious, as they now appear together in schools after patch 1.9. Ok, that
was a bad pun, but the new update has revamped the fishing system a bit, making it easier to find pockets of
sought-after fish such as Firefin Snapper & Oily Blackmouth.Only thing is...the fish might be in schools, but you're not learning a thing from it. That's not a pun, I'm trying to say that fishing seems to be broken for the time being; you can still catch stuff, but you won't gain any skill for it...at least not as of this writing.
Even so, the school system does make the whole skill a bit more rewarding; even though I love to sit back, cast a line & relax, those Blackmouth can be hard to come by sometimes. Glad to see 'em all in one place for once...

There are many things that are wonky... 3 of my characters are inivisible and when you look at the them in the character UI they appear as a white "paper-doll". Also, my Tailoring UI window was not displaying learned patterns properly or at all. And of course the mail & guild issues which Blizzard has commented on.
I'm not sure how I feel about the LFG channel being joined across the board... now there is quite a bit chatter and if you aren't paying attention you could miss a message from someone as it will pass quickly. I suppose the joining of this channel benefits high levels with mounts or the like as they can get to other cities pretty quickly, but I don't see how this benefits low levels. I suppose I can "un-subscribe" to that channel, but sometimes I do want to be in a group. :/
I am sure these things will get worked out as Blizzard is usually on top of things... but growing pains are, well, a pain.

I was a bit surprised by the fish schools. I really don't like it. I also don't notice any difference in the percentage of particular fish i get from an area, just seems they are announcing thier presence.
I enjoyed fishing in lots of spots and finding out what was in there after 30 casts or so. The fish circles are really kinda lame and take away from the pure enjoyment of fishing. :) its like opening your map and seeing circles over herds of various beasts, like "Wolves Here" and "Dragons Here". kinda takes the mystery away.

Ah, and if you are looking for blackmouth, I have found them in abundance right off the main dock of Menethil Harbour. Maybey 68% of the fish I caught were blackmouth. Dont know if that is different for all servers.

i got some skill up , but i never saw these school of fish , i fished 2 places , menethil harbour and Bootybay
