Paladin Conundrums
Today was the day that my Paladin had been dreading for what seems like forever; the long-awaited changes to the
class that came with patch 1.9. I had been through all this before with my Hunter a few months back, and although that
had been pretty painless, I still didn't quite know what to expect.I had read all about the changes, and agreed with most of them, but I still hadn't made up my mind how I was going to re-spec. I also lamented losing my nifty Consecrate AoE spell, that I had just gotten last week, but this afternoon, I dove right in & decided to go full Retribution, all the way. I figured it was closest to my previous playstyle, and will be the most versatile for PvP, which is what I tend to gear toward.
What about the rest of you Paladins out there? Which path did you choose? How do you feel about the changes so far? Chime in...

I chose to respect to holy/protection to keep my consecration and blessing of kings. The end result was me switching to a shield & 1H weapon specialty instead of my 2H weapon specialty, however as close as I am to endgame (level 58), this will only become an asset instead of a liability.

I went to a 11/25/15 build, so that I have consecration, BoK, and reckoning. After dreading the changes coming to 1.9, and finally deciding on this spec, I was overjoyed to see how well it performs. I tanked Strat Dead, and out-dps'd our mage. I did damage/support in BRD, and was able to maintain 180-200dps. Just incredible now, and a lot more interactive - which is exactly the opposite of what I was expecting.

I used to be Retribution only, but I respecced with maybe 10/40 holy/retrib to keep my Consecration, but added a thing or two as well. I decided to ditch Blessing of Kings, since I seem to do better with Blessing of Might.
Overall, theres only been one thing really different for me now: I can now heal without watching my cast bar drop by 30-50% about 3-5 times as I keep getting hit before finally getting the cast off! :P

I have only reached a meager lvl 21 on my pally, but i seemed to have dumped the majority of the few talents points i have into Protection, maxing out Devotion Aura and Toughness, then throwing my last point on Divine Strength. I would have replaced my missing BoM TP's but at lvl 2 it doesn't make a squat of difference.

PodMonkeys, I read about some bug with Improved Concentration Aura that might be the cause of your uninterruptable heals. As with any bug or ability that might actually make a pally useful, expect it to be fixed any moment now...

I installed the patch today, and since then I cannot train my paladin any further. I reached level 10 today, and i could not have the training 9i could not even get training for level 8 either. I guess I will have to drop the character if I or nobody else can find a solution to this problem.
If anyone encountered the same problem, I would like to hear from you
Thank you
