Gurubaishi - Low pop PvP world with hardly any wait times and we still have highend guilds that down Rag etc.

Consider moving realms if it is becoming too much of a hassle on the world you want to play. Other than that try simply getting the ball rolling on the login before your play time. As some one said you can alt tab out of WoW and do other stuff while you wiat.
