Did I Stutter?
We've gotten several comments today from folks that claim to be having a much easier time with the login servers
& the post-holiday lag in general. It looks as if Blizzard at least made an effort to rectify this issue with
Tuesday's update. However, when I logged on to see for myself, I found that, yes, the login server let me in right away & the general lag seemed to be slightly better...but almost every player I saw was skipping around on my screen like a bad stop-motion movie. Thinking it was me, I asked around & tried out some other servers, and found many people with the same issues across the board. Anyone else out there experiencing similar skippiness? Have we replaced one type of annoying lag with another?

Yup. My friend and I both saw this last night.

Its defintely a time issue on Elune. What I mean is after 8 o'clock PM eastern you will NOT get right in. Lastnight at 6pm I got on for a ZG early run and was 115th in queue and waited 21 minutes to get through it.
If this is not what you have meant than Elune has no issues as I either get right in game or am in a queue.

It was really hard to fight in BGs last night. one second the guy was on my right then suddenly he was dead. running after people was really bad too. I thought I was lagging until I see that I had a better than average ping time.
I think Blizzard messed up somewhat in the patch.

Yes. In fact, it's mentioned as an issue on the WoW Forums - both in general, and as a sticky on the Technical Support forum. From Caydiem, on the General forum:
"We're aware of the issue.
1.9.1 was tested in a slightly different way in order to fix the fundamental issues as soon as possible; unfortunately, this particular method and hardware did not exhibit the movement tendencies you're seeing on your realms, and thus it was missed. We apologize and are working on a fix that we'll get out to you as soon as feasibly possible."
I'd really suggest that you guys do your homework a little more.

I have seen the stutter steps a few times, but it is far from constant. I also noticed a definite improvement in Ironforge lag last night but I attributed this to a change wowtech gave me to fix a camera centering problem I was having. Prior to the change, IF had about the same nasty lag.

Yeah, I agree, it was laggy as hell last night, I was on at about 7:00PM (PST) on the Akama server and I disconnected and like 4 or 5 times in the middle of a battle, needless to say I kept dying. And dont even try going to a major city lest you want to be lagged out to hell....*sigh*...I only played for an hour, and gave up.

The login server wait was marginally better for me, only taking 4 minutes instead of 10 (this was with no queue list on Graymane). Still unacceptable. The previous night took 5 minutes just for the character list to come up!
I also saw certain classes doing the "stutter step" throughout the night. I thought it was just lag, but the UI lag indicator was pegged at 150ms or less. Hope they fix it soon, it detracts from the experience.

oh, I can't even play with the new patch. They took down 40 EU servers to move 8 of them (eh? ok, maybe they know what they are doing) with them down for a projected 24 hours wich means I better expect 48 hours the least. I was initially happy that my server was not among the ones being moved, but with everyone and their mom from the other 40 trying to connect to the remaining ones... well, lets just say it doesn't really work out. That after last weeks patch desaster with 1,5 days downtime. It's super happy fun times all around.

These are the things I noticed last night...
* Other characters health is not reflected accurately: I was running BRD and someone dies, and shows full health for me. ???
* Characters disapearing from the screen: Our healer couldn't see the main tank on his screen at all, just a shadow.
* Character Movement is jerky: People no longer walk around, they just glide and pop from location to location. Gives me a head-ache.

Yep, me and my friends were skipping around Dun Morough last night around midnight on Eredar. At first I thought it was our connections, so this post is (kinda) encouraging, in that it wasn't just us =/
