Breakfast topic: Scariest monsters
You know the score; you're wiping the sweat off your
brow after a particularly hard encounter, when all of a sudden you hear the dreaded "RRrrrrlllllrrrRR" and a
swarm of murlocs assault you right, left and centre. Or perhaps you're gingerly making your way through enemy terrain
when a fearsome Dwarf attempts to chop your knees off. Either way, we've all had scary moments in WoW.Which monsters or NPCs do you find the most terrifying?
Personally, I'll never forget the first moments when as a baby Night Elf I ventured into a cavern of spiders. Spiders are fine in real-life, but these digitised versions somehow put a chill in my blood no monster has managed to equal since--apart from perhaps the sudden terror of hearing a Rogue stealthing nearby.

The Dark Weavers in Noxious Galde are scary looking. Ironic that they are one of the easiest mobs to kill in that area of E. Plaguelands

I always scream when one of my level 25ish toons catches the attention of Mor'Ladim (a 35 elite) in Ravel Hill. *sigh*

Of all the places my level 28 character has been I think that Duskwood has the scariest characters. The spiders, the ghouls, the worgen, they all give me the creeps. Then I read the finished journal given from Jitters about the murder of Sven's family and that creeped me out even more.

Not necessarily a monster, but the first time I saw an Ancient Protector in Teldrassil, I freaked a little.

Scariest monster I've ever seen in WoW is the lag monster. I rarely see it coming and it kills me almost every time.

I would have to say the monster that freaked me out the most was the Son of Arugal. I was in my high teens and low 20's when he ran up behind me and attacked. I screamed when he hit me and then I screamed again when I turned and saw him. :p

The first time I walked into the Barrens and ran into the level ?? Horde blockade. I was even stealthed, but they saw me coming a mile away.

The Silithids, handsdown. Any Silithid hive. I am highly repulsed by the ones in the Barrens, and will never forget the yucky feeling of disgust upon investigating the hive in Feralas. I have actively avoided Silithus so far. Nasty!

Son of Goddamn Arugal.

I have to agree with other posters. The first time entering Duskwood from Westfall was exceptionally terrifying and I hadn't even seen Stitches yet! After spending much time in the region, I have to say that both Stitches and Mor'Ladim were both the scariest and upon leveling up, the most annoying mobs around. Especially since when I was there you couldn't rez at Raven Hill! I hear that's been fixed because it sure was an irritating run!

Duskwood was pretty scary the first time in.
The dinos at Un'Goro are pretty scary too, but theres one dino thats scary as heck when your lvl20. I decided one day to use the portal to Darnases over in Duskwood... Apparently I havn't been there in a long time. Theres a huge dino in that place!
I think whats scariest for me, is not the creatures themselves, but unknown places, especially if I'm a lower level then the mobs there. Nothing is scarrier than not knowing if the next corner you turn will put you face to face with an elite 5 to 10 levels above you, or a mob of creatures ready to tear you a new one.

Dustwallow Marsh....I hate trying to run through there either to or from Theramore. It's bad enough they have spiders...but some of them are rogue and can stealth. That is some creepy stuff when you've got Track Beasts up and are trying to avoid everything like the plague.

Silithids are nasty, most definitely.
I also thought the demons at the Mannoroc Coven (I think?) in Desolace were pretty creepy... Warlocks, Succubi, and those doomguard type guys, as well as the big elementals. Very cool looking, intimidating for sure.

I will only say that nothing is scarrier than not knowing.

Having Omen come up from behind and slaughter me was pretty freaky.
