Breakfast Topic: Proudest moments
Whether it's downing Onxyia, getting Nef to 10% or even picking up that weapon or pet you've always wanted,
we've all celebrated some happy times. The process of getting my first mount -- saving up, playing the auction house to
make enough money, then frantically beating up gorillas to get that last bar -- was probably the first real feeling of
accomplishment in-game I had, especially as it had some tangible reward.Soloing difficult quests, completing instances when you're a man down, finding a rare drop -- what are the highs of your time so far in WoW?

As a warlock, doing the Dreadsteed event in DM West and finally getting that mount. Or soloing the doomguard quest in the Tainted Scar. Running around in my underwear all day there to avoid repair costs /shudder

Ditto here! I played WoW like it was my job to get my mount, much to the chagrin of my girlfriend and co-workers...

I can think of a couple of proud moments that really stand out.
When I was level 42 (NE priest), my friend (42 human paladin) and I were out grinding on some black dragon whelps when we found the larger dragons out in the badlands. We decided to try a few of the elites, then realized we'd pulled a 45. Neither of us seemed to be able to get any physical attacks off, but slowly my DoT wore at him and after a few applications and some good shots from the pally, the dragon went down. It was great.
Another more recent memory, at 60, I was working with a group in the Sunken Temple, and someone in our party decided to jump off of an edge and landed in the middle of one of those clusters of dragons around the large hole in the upper floor. The whole party jumped down right after, and we wound up fighting around 15 dragons in a row. I burned a mana potion in the process, but not a single person died. It was a very proud moment.

Getting my drakefire amulet was by far the biggest accomplishment I had felt since reaching 60. All the grinding and stuff meant nothing, but finishing that key chain quest was such a fantastic feeling.

Getting the receipe for Robes of Arcana for the Warlock Golden Blood Robes quest. Took forever to grind through the mobs to get the drop...all in Alliance territory.

As I got the Questreward from the Alterac Mountains, where you had to kill the big troll (sry I forgot the name).
And killing the Baron in Stratholme with only 5 people.

My proudest moment, by far, is a tie - its either when i discovered the secret path from Ratchet to Orc-noob central, or when i actaully made it in RFC with my 42 hunter.

The Drakefire Amulet/Onyxia Key quest was a big deal, I agree. But for me, my greatest accomplishment was soloing the entire Deadmines instance. I was pretty high level at the time, but WoW is my first MMORPG, and I considered quite a feat that I learned enough about the game and my character to solo a whole instance.

Walking through Hillsbrad and only getting ganked once.
Made me cry happy tears.

Favorite moment happened last Saturday, when I finally (after dying 4-5 times) successfully soloed Plugger (the bartender in BRD) as a 59 rogue and lo and behold, on my first successful solo run, the Barman Shanker dropped. I nearly wept with joy.
