Need a Bigger Purse?
Managing one's inventory has always been a challenging issue for some players, particularly certain crafters.
With the new 1.10 patch Blizzard is addressing some inventory problems that have plagued the game since the beginning,
but still some
players aren't satisfied (shocking, I know).Since Blizzard is promising new containers for holding Herbalism & Enchanting items, why aren't blacksmiths & engineers getting the same; not to mention skinners & miners? Speaking as a smith/miner, I can safely say that a good 5-10 minutes of my playtime every day is spent organizing my inventory slots. I dunno about you, but this is not much fun in my book...or in my bag.
What do you guys think? Are more inventory tweaks needed?

I use a addon called EngInventory to organize my inventory. It's very very useful and I can't live without it.
Here is it on Curse:

But an updated version is on the auctioneer site:

I don't use purses; I use bags. ;)

One thought regarding why Enchant/Alchemy are getting bigger bags, and not Eng/Skin/Blacksmith = Number of TYPES of reagents. Enchanting has 3 categories of materials, and like 6 TYPES of each category. Each requires a different slot cause ye can't stack Strange Dust with Vision Dust. Similarly, Alchemy has a grip of herbs and miscellaneous reagents, each of which requires it's own slot. If you intend to keep even a couple of the reagents necessary for useful potions or enchants on hand, that can easily eat up several bags. Conversely, skin/mining has like 8 things you can collect? and Skinning mats compact- scraps=LightLeather mediumleather, etc. While Smithing might take a LOT of a mineral, that's still only one slot worth, vs say 3 enchant mat types, or 2 herbs and an oil.
That being said, I can see a logic in having larger SKILL only bags for those skills, to compensate for the larger number of slots required.
What might make more sense for the other skills is bags that allow more items per slot.. ie 40 ore per slot.
Course, what I'd really like to see is the possibility of replacing your default backpack with larger bags.. THAT BAG ONLY, so you could have ONE 24 slot generic bag, and then yer other bags.
Or a packmule, ala Dungeon Siege. Epic mount? Pffff. Gimme a Kodo Caravan for farming herbs :)

I've never understood why mounts take up an inventory slot, or why there aren't saddlebags to throw on those mounts. It just makes too much sense.
And these mat and soul shard bags should be nestable, too. Unique, but nestable, and not take up a container slot. Ammo pouches and quivers I can understand, but it seems like a bag full of herbs or dust would take the same amount of space as some plate leggings, or a frigging horse.
