Possible Chinese Warcraft Boycott
You might imagine that playing Warcraft in China
would be the same as playing it anywhere else - we all have to deal with long queue times, server lag, and less than
helpful GM responses. However, Chinese players are considering a boycott of Warcraft, and its Chinese
distributer, The9, until performance improves. The9 seems to be pushing off the problems to Blizzard, explaining
repair delays on the difficulty of coordinating with Blizzard, which does not have a presence in China.[Thanks, Dave]

please think before you post, this about chinese players on chinese servers, they have zero to do with selling gold on us / eu servers.
let's see if they can actually pull this off, it has been brought up a few times on the us / eu servers, but there it never goes further then some forum posts and such.

I wonder if the fact that Chinese players pay by the hour gives them more immediate financial leverage to pull something like this off. I know I pay for play-time in 3-month blocks, so if I get irritated enough to cancel today, there's a lot of time to either change my mind or for Blizzard to get things together before they stop receiving my money.

don't worry Rianosuke, actual players sell gold on ebay too, so I think we'll be ok! ^_^
Wait... Chinese players pay by the hour?!

to Mat,
Yeah they do =P
There's a mentality there to pay by the hour. Plus its less money upfront so more people can afford it.
Also interesting side note, the game isn't actually _sold_ in china, rather its downloaded for free.
