No, 1.10 isn't a hunter patch,
but it contains quite a few changes for hunters - though response to them ranges from "nerf" to "bug
fix". An overall list of issues can be found in
this
thread, but they're summarized below.
- Scatter shot - shares a cooldown with traps (so no
more scatter/feign/trap)
- Ranged weapons "normalization" - results in a minor decrease in
overall DPS (3-5% are the numbers that are being thrown around)
- A hunter's attacker no longer looses
target when the hunter feigns death
- Traps - are now
considered "stealthed" which means they can become visible if someone gets close
- Diminishing returns - traps are now on diminishing returns (shared with scatter shot)
- Flared areas
are now visible to everyone
- Beaststalker's set bonuses changed - varying opinions on this

Title should be renamed to "Hunter nerfs..." not "changes."
By the way you missed two:
* Hunters will now no longer have arms or legs. This change is to address a bug where hunters reportedly were able to defend themselves in PvP combat.
* All hunter abilities now share the same cooldown and diminishing returns.

Well, look on the bright side: at least you can still roll a shammy.

I've been playing WoW since shortly after the release. I have 60 druid and a 58 Hunter. The upcoming nerf to Hunters is the final straw for me. I think I've had enough and plan on deleting my characters once the patch goes into effect. From what I'm reading on the forums; I'm not the only one. Expect to see a dramatic dimunition in the Hunter population. Cheers to WoW; thanks for giving me a reason to give it up.

Meh, don't let the door hit you on your back out; only a baby would quit over this, you lost your I Win button? Poor you.
Hunters are overpowered right now, and these so-called "nerfs" are only balancing that class with all the others (if you ever played a rogue, you'd know how stupidly hard (unfairly so) it is to beat a hunter 1v1 right now). They still rock, they have in no way been made a shitty class with the upcoming 1.10 changes.

As long as I can still solo my way through everything, then I'm cool. Although I am concerned about this:
"A hunter's attacker no longer looses target when the hunter feigns death"
What does that mean exactly? The forum is down right now.

It is my understanding, and it may be incorrect, that currently, using feign death in PvP causes your opponent to de-target you. After the patch, it will not.
While I'm a strong proponant for waiting to see how changes turn out in their finalized form, on the live realms, I have trouble finding a silver lining in that one (for hunters, at least - I'm sure the rest of the classes are crying out with joy).

Some of those changes are kind of lame (like the FD target change), but as a hunter since go live I'm kind of looking forward to the drop in population of my class.
Besides, even with these changes Hunters are still considerably better than they were at onset.
