Cross-Realm Battlegrounds a Possibility
According to this
post on the official forums, it seems that Blizzard is currently investigating the possibility of allowing players
from different realms to enter the same Battleground, thereby greatly reducing the queue times for players waiting to
get their PvP on.I think this sounds like a fantastic idea, seeing as how I've spent more than a few hours waiting in the queue for Warsong or Alterac. Hopefully, this will be the first stride towards more inter-server activity, which I'm sure is inevitable eventually. Thanks to reader Dave for the tip!

it would mean that if you feel like PvP'ing you would just join a queue without waiting , which is a realy great thing , i have played in Alterac because it take a long time to wait , and mostly one game is played per day ( and 1/2 the people leaving before it finish )
one time when they added that you could queue for more than one battleground i queued for Alterac , warsong and arathi , i played 4 warsong , 2 arathi and still no Alterac invite .

i think it would be cool if us horde and alliance on a server could compet agest other horde and alliance servers like one team would be spirestone and the other dunemaul or some other server just like a server vrs server thing to see what server is the best and can work with there enemy to defet a biger enemy. but this would make horde and alliance have some commen talk so who knows im just throing it out there. (sorry for my bad spelling)

So players on brand-new servers (servers which may not have even downed Onyxia yet) will fight against players on old servers in AQ gear? How will blizz reconcile that discrepency?

The same way they do now those with all level of gear fight in the same battleground. I have never picked up an MC epic but that doesn't mean that I don't fight again my other players who have.

Mike, I don't think you have much to worry about. When I came back to wow after a long break I was able to easily get Seargent with my then 52 hunter over two weeks of very casual BG play... I imagine at 60 it'd be pretty realistic to at least get the first set of BG gear, which IMO for a lot of classes rivals non BG epic drops.
Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if the reason they haven't done cross server BG yet is because Blizzard will probably want to set up a lot of features like a worldwide ranking system or something similar to allow for even games.
Who knows really, but I know the idea of huge BG wars like this is one of the things that is keeping me subscribing :)
