Starting Over in Azeroth
With
the recent release of new realms (without
transfers) this week, numerous players have been flocking to start the game anew. I've rolled on the new PVE
server, Duskwood, and must admit it's charming to see the server start to take shape. While the newbie zones are
terribly crowded, there are no queues, no lag, no gold farmers (yet, anyway), and the auction house is free of price
gouging (for now). While there are already many guilds, there are none of the heated, sometimes angry, rivalries
I've seen among guilds on other servers - not to mention that the highest level player online right now is only
23. While it's probably too good to last, I'm having fun starting over on an entirely new server. Has
anyone else taken this as an opportunity to reroll and start fresh? Filed under: Realm News, Analysis / Opinion

I started on Runetotem when it went online a couple of months ago. I must say, starting on a new non-transfer server is a refreshing experience. I think the Battlegrounds matches were really the best part of it. The 10-19 bracket in the first few weeks of a server is really good. There aren't any twinks yet. Everyone is just there to have a good time. It's a blast.

I was running Warsong Gulch on Duskwood last night, and it was more fun than I've had in quite a while, for exactly the reasons AcceptableRisk mentioned.
