A free day is reasonable compensation for denial of service for a day. I haven't seen phone or cable companies do anything similar. I expect Blizzard is not happy about what happened either. It cost them about $3 million assumeing all servers world wide were down. Probably not the case but a free day still cost them a chunk of change if only US and Oceanic were affected.Personally, I am somewhat satisfied knowing their screw up hit them in the pocketbook.
