Breakfast Topic: Most satisfying kill
We all have those satisfying moments when we overcome challenges that we'd previously thought too difficult, or
perhaps when we go back and exact our revenge on tormentors of the past. Even in PvE, there are plenty of fights that
give a real sense of accomplishment at the end. What's your story?Personally, I have all the usual go-back-and-kill-Son-of-Arugal moments, but also a couple of proud achivements when faced with two elites (one add)--the last time that happened I survived with 5 health! I also have the embarrassing flipside -- /cheering after a fight only to realise I've been poisoned. Unfortunately the Spirit Healer didn't see the funny side.
[Thanks, Eric]

Ahh, is'nt just a great moment when faced with almost certain death and a long hike back to your corpse when you hands down just beat the **** out of all in your way and walk away victorious! I am reliving a moment which happend only a few days ago when joining a long fought WSG late on to find 3 alliance on me as soon as i spawn. after runnning mana down to empty on the first 2 i am left with only 1 with very few HP left each it came down to a pure wand battle, with great thanks my newly purchased wand i prevailed and congratulated myself with a nice drink of water. 3-0 Horde. Fantastic!

Soloing Lord Roccor in BRD last night for my druid trinket and succeeding on the first try. Though the satisfaction kind of diminished after I did it 5 more times in a row. Did BRD get nerfed, by the way? I went there last night with a full group and everything seemed so much easier.

I had a really good one about a month ago.
I was playing my Dwarf Hunter in the Western Plaguelands, working on one of the Target:Bad Guy in a field quests. As a level 54 at the time I could do the quest, but if I pulled more than one Skeleton/Zombie I was hard pressed.
Of course pulling doesn't always go the way you want it to, and I grabbed two of the skeletons. As they pounded away on my pet and I, and we at them, a level 53 undead mage attacked from behind and nailed me with what I'm figuring was pyroblast followed by a fireball. I died (of course).
Upon walking back to my body I realized that not only was the mage still around, he was working on the same quest I was! While he was distracted I quickly rezzed in some bushed and feigned death. I had a plan.
For those of you not familiar with the quest set he and I were on, you have to work your way to the middle of a field, kill a boss, take the key the boss drops, and get some potion from a cauldron he protects.
I waited. And waited. I stood up so I wouldn't die and feigned death again. And waited more, until finally he was at the boss, he had cleared a path!
Just as he aggroed the boss I stood up, buffed up, and hit him with Aimed shot, concussive shot, viper sting, arcane shot in that order. He was doomed! hahhaha! I killed the boss, took the key, got the potion and finished the quest all before he could rez.
The best part is that his body was in the middle of the field and as I walked away the path that he had created was filling back in. I wouldn't be surprised if he died once more just trying to get out!
That'll teach you to attack people mid fight and not run away! :)
(and for the record I play, both factions, so this isn't some rail against the horde. Go trolls! Go dwarves! Go fun!)

I know some people say the quest is easy...But getting the final kill for the hunter epic has been one of the best kills for me. Having people help me when I screamed for them not to. Getting ganked by alliance(on a pvp server)mid fight. Demons warping and killing me or evade bugging...made that quest a nightmare.
Hauling ass down the road in winterspring with my last demon in tow(along with a night elf rogue)and still taking them both out made it the best kill in the game for me. I finished that damn quest and got an hk out of it. Gotta love teh two-for-one deals.
Other then that...There is nothing better then a perfectly timed fd just as a pyroblast hits you and a dumb mage who thinks you really are dead. Only to find themselves scatter, aimed, and multi-shotted to death...priceless

Grinding skeletons in Raven Hill for something, can't rememeber what, as a Rogue and suddenly Mor'Ladim comes charging in. I survived both finishing the skeleton (not too tough)and Mor'ladim, at level 35. Thanks to the Skeleton I was on, I never got an opening move in.
Course I hadn't crit'd all afternoon and it all stacked up on him. Luck, I suppose?

I was just outside tarren mill and i was killing lions to go fight frostmaw so was at half life when a dwarf warroir one level below me attacked me and after i healed myself (I'm a shaman)i got his life down to like 25% he then used a bandage and i got him down again, he then used a potion, and i still managed to kill him, and then so he would learn a lesson i killed him when he was fighting lions after he had respawned.

It was just last night, actually. I was in a Warsong Gulch game, and as a human Paladin, I've never been able to kill a shaman. Ever. So i was going along, and i see one. I decide, whatever, ill try it. So after about 10 minutes of healing on both sides, i put him down with about 30% health left and no mana. Was the first time i ever downed a Shaman alone.
