Time-line for Burning Crusade Release?
There's been a lot of speculation as to when The Burning Crusade expansion will be released - different retailers
list different release dates, and Blizzard has not made anything public yet. However, CM Eyonix dropped a little
tidbit in the forums today which may provide a clue as to when we can expect to see the expansion hit store shelves,
telling us that they plan to do a talent review
for all classes before the release. With three un-reviewed classes, and predicting six to eight weeks between
patches, this pushes the expansion out four and a half to six months. September or October, anyone?Filed under: Analysis / Opinion, Blizzard

Amazon.com has release date of 10/15 for pre-orders, gamestop.com has release date of 10/2 for pre-orders...

At least this gives me time to level up.

I'd assumed Amazon's release date of October 15 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BWZY7Q/) was just a placeholder, but maybe they knew all along...

BlizzCon 2006 makes sense, no?

all those stores just make up a date, if it turns out to be correct then thats pure coincidence.

They are doing a telent review of all classes after the final three reviews...
The final three reviews are taking 6-8 weeks each...
Let's use 6 weeks to be fair...
3 classes * 6 weeks = 18 weeks...
Add in 9 * 6 weeks for the re-review = 54 weeks...
18 + 54 = 72 weeks...
4 weeks in a month = 18 months...
Yeah, October 2007 sounds about right :)

Eric, Eyonix said they wanted to review all the remaining classes before the expansion, not re-review every class. So that makes it just the 18 months.
