Connection Woes
In addition to authentication
difficulties and emergency maintenance
on several servers, there are also, apparently, ISP
issues that are causing players to become disconnected. Maybe this is some sort of message suggesting that we
should spend more quality time watching television. Hopefully some of you are having better luck tonight than I
am!Filed under: Realm News, Realm Status, News items

It's a pity that it happens almost on every server. I've got the same message :(

Has it occurred to anyone that maybe Blizzard is doing this intentionally -- to alleviate the strain the population is putting on their servers? It's very simple for them to boot a certain segment of the accounts off and turn off their login server. Remember the rolling black-outs in California?? So they credit everyone's account for the day, what do they care, you've already paid your $15 for the month, what's an extra day in the grand scheme of things if it keeps you playing for the next month for you to charge your credit card??

That's rediculous. I don't think many of the issues are directly Blizzard's fault. I mean, they have run Battle.net for years straight for SC.
However, in any other professional application, this server downtime would be devastating. Imagine if Google tanked *every* week! Especially on weekends!
So, whenever you decide to take a break or when your subscription runs low, cancel your account and cite "server downtime" as a reason for quitting.
