Blizzard Suspends Thousands of Accounts
Gold farmers beware: Blizzard has been cracking
down hard on TOS violations since the 1.10 patch, and according to the official
website, they have cancelled over 5,000 accounts & suspended another 10,000 for using third-party programs
& other cheats in order to secure gold or items in the game.I, for one, applaud Blizzard's stance & tenacity on this subject...but I also think they're fully aware that those 15,000 or so people will just be plunking down another $50 for the game again soon, so it's win/win for the boys in blue. I still like the crucifixion idea, myself...

If not crucifixion, then at least public stockades. That way you don't offend anyone and it becomes more about public humiliation. With a crucifixion, you may find people being sympathetic to the ones who've been crucified. Plus it's hard to laugh at someone on a cross. But with stockades, it would be brutal. Lots of people laughing and pointing and making rude gestures. One could easily code them into locations just outside of Stormwind and Ironforge. There could even be a vendor nearby selling tomatoes, rotten lettuce, eggs, etc. It would be almost like a mini-game.

Or Blizz could just make them outcasts, a whole new faction constantly at war with all other factions, and PvP permanently on. Would make it much harder for them to access the mail system, and we could kill them on sight. We could even turn in their ears for rep :)

Nice work Blizz.
It's good to see Blizz take such a proactive stance on this sort of thing as compared to SOE. That's why they get my money.
Also, my insatiable love for murlocs helps.
