Breakfast Topic: Cash for Questing
Making money in the endgame isn't as tiresome as it used to be. With the addition in patch 1.10 of an
xp-to-gold conversion -- any level 60 players undertaking quests get gold for them instead of xp -- my guild chat is
full of boasts about cash rather than complaints about grinding.Farming for specific drops is still an excellent way to ensure lifelong riches, but now you can do some off-the-beaten-track quests and still get rewarded. Have you found yourself seeking out quests more, now there's cash involved? Or are you annoyed because you earned your epic mount "the hard way"? What's your favourite money-spinner?

I earned my mount the hard way: farm, grind, sell sell sell. I really like the new xp-to-money conversion as well, however I don't think it's a very useful way of saving up for that epic mount. At level 60 if you're in an end-game guild or even trying to get the "casual epic" Dungeon 2 set, you're likely going to incur some serious repair bills (particularly when you do start wearing purples). Most of my very large guild does quests for the rep, the rewards, the renewed challenge of Strat/Scholo 5-mans, and to offset the repair bills of BWL/AQ. Oy vay...

I, like Lummox, bought my mounts (two of them) the hard way, but I don't hold any disdain towards the noveaux-rich'e players, as it were. The cash rewards for quests are nice, and it's a fun way to make a little extra cash on the side, but I still wouldn't go out of my way to do quests just for the cash bonus.
IMO, running blue instances is still the best way to make lots of cash, especially now that you're only rolling against 4 other people. Throw a dungeon specific cash bonus quest along with that run, and now you've got some income.
