I've always been an avid fisherman ever
since I started playing WoW; I find it to be one of the easiest ways to make money & although I understand why some
players find it boring, I happen to enjoy watching for that little bobber to splash.So, for all you fellow anglers out there, the Azerothian Trade Union has posted a great Fishing FAQ, detailing all the good spots to cast a line, and all the goodies you can reel in. It's a very well-done guide that I plan to be referencing often; check it out here.

As a (relatively) new and perpetually poor player, I would like some clarity on this -- Has selling (cooking) fish, Blackmouths / Firefins / Stonewhatevers, and the chanced pearl been more profitable in your experiences than just farming? Or do you mean money made for the lack of any combat whatsoever?
As a related anecdote, I spent much time skilling up (With help from the linked FAQ) fishing when the War Effort opened; I had some profits with the War Effort and Spotted Yellowtail, but that was the first Effort to finish on the server!
