Blizzard's Jeff Kaplan on the Burning Crusade

Today's New York Times has an interview with Blizzard designer Jeff Kaplan, where he speaks out for the first time since E3 & the announcement of the new Draenei playable race. The piece is a very informative Q&A where Kaplan fields questions regarding the selection of the Draenei and the dev's motivations behind this & other upcoming changes that will accompany the release of the new expansion.For all those following the latest expansion news from E3 & elsewhere, there are some great tidbits of information here, concerning a wealth of subjects related to the Burning Crusade. Kudos to the Times, also, for such an unapologetically gamer-centric article, with no pretense of trying to explain what the hell they're talking about to the non-gaming reader. Click here to read.

Ah, yes, Jeff Kaplan, Scourge of All Paladins, finally admitts that he hates the paladin class, and that it truly is a support class.
This article has unleashed a sheiss-storm in the paladin forums. The major buff to shaman dps hasn't made them too happy, either. Nor has the fact that the original mage talent review was mediocre, got flamed in the forums, and was updated from mediocre to awesome in less than a week.
I haven't played my paladin in almost a year, and my main is a mage, but this really ticks me off.

Jeff is a player as well and he has a right to hate another class just like me or you.
I am sure Jeff said this remark as a player not as a Blizzard Employee.
The Warcraft community really is childish, and the palading community leads the way.
People need to stop takign things so personal.

The first part of this article was great, but the second part was too technical and crummy overall. I blame the interviewer for this.
