Beginner's Guide to Roleplaying
I know the first time I started my World of Warcraft client, the option of roleplaying servers surprised me. Never having been a roleplayer myself, it wasn't what I'd bought the game for, and while I've spent a little time attempting to play on them, but never really had a good feel for how to interact with players there. However, Manovan from EU server Scarshield Legion has written up a good guide for a beginning roleplayer - providing a good start for players who don't know where to start. I'd say the same i wasnt playing to RP but after about a year Switching from cenarius? ( sp ) to Bonechewer, i decided to try out Silverhand(rp) and actually its alot of fun, there's always something to do a new story. You cant really be bored since well you have friends and stories unwrapping alot. So when you are 60. You can PVP and when your in queue RP!
Just alittle thing i found.

I've been on Feathermoon US since I got the game, but it was horrible... just no RP going on unless you could work your way into a heavy-RP clique, and that meant interrupting storylines and all sorts of mess. No different than playing on a PvE server, right down to the people endlessly insulting RPers.
I couldn't wait for character transfers anymore and rolled a new character on Thorium Brotherhood... the difference is like night and day. I was starting to get sick of WoW, but now I'm sucked right back in ^^; The server community makes all the difference. Blizz doesn't enforce the RP policy unless the community polices it for them - they'd rather be the judges than the cops, apparently, when it comes to RP servers. The TB community is much tougher about enforcing roleplaying policies than the FM people.
In any case, shop around before you commit to a server, or if you're unhappy with yours... I guess that could be true for any kind of experience, but it really paid off for me.

When LightningHoof was fresh and new, my character Dalexion was in the top 3 of highest level Blacksmiths.
Naturally, everyone would come to me for their goods so I had a story going where I was a crippled old man (wooden leg and all) going. It was fun for a while then it was just tiresome to keep up...
Left the server due to drama. The Drama that is in RP servers is unmatched my ANY other type. Ill stick with my Normal server now, thanks.

The article had good intentions, but the guy definitely needs to learn how to use the spell/grammar check tool.
