Breakfast Topic: Testing!
The public test realms opened late Friday, and despite stability issues, are officially online. With lots of interesting changes, are you interested in checking them out? Perhaps exploring the new Naxxramas dungeon with a pick up group, or just enjoying playing a pre-made and pre-geared level 60 character. So let us know - will we be seeing you on the test realm?Filed under: Breakfast Topics

I gave it a shot for a few minutes, but never enjoy the testing as much as I thought I would. I copied my own character, a 49 shaman. I did a quick /who 1-59 and found all of 12 characters, all but two had just been created. The rest were level sixties being morons and making the city chat worse than that of the barrens on most realms. I wanted to try out some talent changes, but in my opinion the server queues are too long to merit it.

I won't be going there. I tried the last patch with pre-made lvl 60 characters. As the above poster says, the chat was insane and without any established flight paths and no quests, it wasn't worth the effort to do much.
One would think Blizzard would get more out of this sort of testing by selecting a few actual realms to put the patch up on like a normal change over. Perhaps, in exchange for double free days for those that played during the test period. It would seem to be a more realistic test. I wouldn't mind being in this type of test.

As much as Naxxramas is probably the single instance I've been most excited about ever, I think I'll wait for it to hit the public servers. I just can't bring myself to make any effort on a test realm where my work will be wiped out as soon as the patch in testing goes live.
