Darkmoon Faire Back in Town
I don't know if it's happening WoW-wide, but on my server, at least, the Darkmoon Faire is back in town this week. Those enterprising little goblins have set up camp outside of Goldshire with the usual host of games & prizes.Personally, I love the Faire, especially the human cannonball...I can never resist giving it a whirl. I always enjoy stopping by the fortune teller, as well, even though I usually wind up with a buff that I can't really use. Last time they came through town, I also got a nice 2-handed sword out of a prize box that I ended up using for several levels...much more useful than that silkscreened Def Leppard mirror that I won at the last real-life fair I went too.
What about you guys? Does the Faire live up to the hype? Do you actually go collect the items for the various ticket booths, or do you just buy them on the AH? Have you collected any card decks? Gotten any good prizes? Let us know....

just to let you know the DKMF is a "WOW-wide" event that happens every first monday after the first friday in a month alternating between mulgore and elwynn.

I go about collecting the items needed. It tends to take me all over the place, which can be fun. And of course, its like doing a treasure hunt. Its not as fun for me, if I'm just going to go pick them up at the AH. I'm usually broke anyway. :P

Went to the Faire for the first time yesterday and found myself sucked into driving those little RC tanks. I wasted almost an hour or so blasting other little tanks before someone summoned a Doomguard to crash the party. Was fun while it lasted though, and I'll definitely be trying the human cannonball next.

Well, I've always been rather unconcerned with the Faire, but then I managed to finally put together the Beasts Deck and the Portals Deck, so last time the Faire Came through I snagged the Darkmoon Card: Blue Dragon and the Darkmoon Card: Twisting Nether. After that my opinion of the Faire went WAY up!

On our server, the faire is just an excuse to PVP! But it's still fun!

The Faire can be cool...especially when the Horde decide to stop by Elwynn Forest. Maybe they couldn't wait to turn in their decks?
Anyway, I got myself a Twisting Nether card (Portals Deck) which is 10% chance to rez you. Very nice for PvE, when it has a habit of proccing on bossfights. And for pvp, it's just hillarious.

I got me a Amulet of the Darkmoon last time it was Elywnn Forest, only took baout 3 days to gather enough rugged armor kits. There's a lot of people in my guild getting the decks it seems, not to mention a lot already have them.

The cannonball sucks compared to those new tonks, those are the best sort of PvP action this side of anywhere. Play those tonks once and you're addicted for hours.

WOW 3 days to get all those armor kits? did you buy them all off the AH??

Seriously, I know not everyone is in a raiding guild and lvl 60 but christ the fact that the faire alternates between horde and alliance and is somewhere everystart of the month is on the blizzard website. Is it wrong to expect the guys/gals working for a site called WoW insider to at least do a little checking before posting, you people get paid right?
