Stupid Mage Tricks
I have to admit - I find this thread in the mage forums about "stupid mage tricks" to be immensely amusing. Slow fall base-jumping? Stacking portals to different places on top of one another? So, anyone reading have any amusing, entertaining, or just plain stupid tricks of their own - for mages or other classes. After all - there's only so much instancing, raiding, PvP-ing, reputation farming, and questing you can do before needing to find entertainment wherever you can. As a warlock, random requests for summoning become a bit noisome. Usually I'll refuse but if running around with a group and don't have to find other people to help, it's mischeviously fun to summon them underwater or over a precipice or into the Arena.

Blinking out of fall damage is my favorite. It takes a while to get the hang of, but once you do, it can really help in AB.
Also, it's just freaking fun.
I'm still trying to sheep drown someone... hasn't worked yet, though...

"As a warlock, random requests for summoning become a bit noisome."
just for your reference, "noisome" typically is a word used to describe foul or offensive smells and odors. It's rooted in the French for annoying, but it generally only refers to odors.

Wouldn't they un-sheep as soon as they started taking drown damage, at which point they could swim to the surface? You'd have to sheep them pretty far underwater...

For you Alliance locks, try making a portal to Darnassus while your warlock is summoning. Endless laughs.

On a pvp server, there is always the fun of taking 2 rogues and chain sapping a player who has been particularly troublesome.

This thread is just a way to ease some of the tension and turn that frown upside down. So in the spirit of David Letterman's "Stupid Pet Tricks", post your stupid mage tricks. I'll start.

I like to accept a duel spammer's invite and relentlessly sheep him. I don't actually bother fighting. I just keep sheeping and sheeping and sheeping, and when the poly finally won't hold, run away to cancel the duel. God does it piss them off.
