Ever been to Molten Core? Well, some people have been there few too many times - as you can tell by watching this
speed-run through the core by Norwegian guild
The Axemen (EU - Ravencrest). Time? 70 minutes (though the video is only 36 minutes long, speeding through non-boss pulls). My best times through MC have been closer to three hours, and were more commonly three and a half to four, with loot distribution and the occasional stupid wipe, so I must say I find 70 minutes exceedingly impressive. And if you've never been to Molten Core, but are curious as to what the place is like, this video should give you a good idea of what you'd see inside.

I'm not sure what the add-on is, but my first thought was "wow, I bet that's memory-intensive."

non UI mods used

I believe the UI that was in use was Reborn UI. That particular UI features artwork and interface schemes from Starcraft.

A lot of these "speed runs" involve no actual loot collection aside from Rag, which greatly increases their time.
My guild has gotten our runs down to 4:30 (either in one night or over 2), and the biggest delay is typically loot handout. If all your players are decked in tier 2s or even AQ, MC is trivial to complete quickly. If, like most guilds, you're still having people gear up, it takes much longer.
To be honest, I'm not that impressed by the run. You're taking high-end gear and using it in a low-end raid instance. If you're going to DE everything, of course you're going to finish fast.

This run was done February 12/2006, but ppl should be able to do it downwards to 45 minutes now if they work good together, with the AQ/Naxx gear they have gotten their hads on. It was a fun run - and the UI used. Dont even bother, just used it for the movie - itshardly playable. go minimalistic, much better :)

Aahh.. After 7 months without active WoW'ing, this really brings back the warm fuzzy feeling inside. I almost want to start playing again, but alas, theres no time to spare from my IRL grinding of G's.
There was indeed loot-collection in this run, although we just used group-loot and the need/greed-system. We can't just leave the purples behind, now can we? EPIX! The biggest timeconsumer now is the actual DPS and the pulling. As your gear improves, you can pull a new groups when the first one still has some hitpoints left. With todays DPS, armor and healing-gear, I guess you could pull new groups of mobs when the current one is at 40%, or maybe even more. And ofcourse, people beeing too concentrated on DPS to notice that they are the bomb at Gheddon, killing half the raid, does not do wonders to your collective DPS. (Open your eyes Duel!
=| )
I'm kinda dissapointed that people haven't done as Deetee says; clearing MC in less than 60 min. I guess with todays number of high-lvl instances, you just don't have the time required to do something like this, (even though it really won't take any time at all).
