1.11 Patch Notes
For those of you who, like me, are still waiting patiently for your realm to come back online after today's patch, you might want to take a gander at the things that have changed with version 1.11.IGN has posted the patch notes on their site, and it looks like, as usual, every class recieved at least a little bit of tweaking. The biggest news for me, though, might just be the fact that the stacking numbers of certain items have been increased, so I can now carry stacks of 20 leather (among other things) around instead of 10! That's huge news for the slot-impaired, like myself.
Anything in the notes you weren't expecting? Anything you found shocking? Chime in....

I find it shocking that they still didn't fix the warlock pet bug in BGs.
Come in with a Felhunter, burn some faces, some rogue gets a lucky crit and you die, you rez...
...and you have an imp.

Of course, it could be worse, you could come back with no pet at all... like when you die outside of pvp.

As a Warlock though, I'm really liking what I see happening with Fear here. There are going to be a lot of people miffed about that... namely everyone who isn't a Warlock. Heh.

I'm a HUGE fan of the keyring, and the ability to mark creatures when in parties or raids.
Now, we can just designate marks to mean something, like "This mark means sap, this one is sleep, this one is shackle" and we can easily assign out targets. No more having to say "Hey, select me and hit F to assist me, that's your target for crowd control", or having your hunter mark different people as targets are handed out.
Also, I know CTRA is still going to be useful, but now with the ability to do ready checks and mid-screen announcements, it hopefully will be at easier to group with people without it.

No one is having trouble downloading the patch?

Best (minor) changes in 1.11:
* Additional action bars now have range indicators on them. If a button in one of a players additional action bars has a range component, it will display a red dot when a target is out of range.
- A new quest is available at Cenarion Hold for players who wish to turn in Combat, Logistics and Tactical Badges for reputation.
- Envelopes for all Field Duty Assignments are now non-unique
However, I think:
- Completing the Field Duty quest has a reputation reward once again.
Is going to cause problems again :- unless it's like 1-2 rep points, which I won't be surprised.
And most (minor) dissappointing is:
- Unsigned Field Duty Papers now need to be "prepared" by players by right-clicking on them. This action has a 3-minute cooldown.
I was always able to get this done twice before he despawned :'(

I can't get the patch to install. :(
And I can't reach the WoW website to get tech support.

For anyone else having trouble with getting onto the main WoW site try this handy dandy link straight to the WoW Tech Support forums:

Oh and Blizz, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STOP HAVING EVERY 'PATCH' CAUSE PROBLEMS AT DOWNLOAD!

Most promising item in the patch notes for me is the support for logitech G15 keyboards... unless I'm using the TS plugin (to show names of people speaking via TS on the G15's screen), it just sits there doing nothing...

I do enjoy the keyring. Freed up a few extra bag slots for free. I do wonder why they excluded the blacksmithing keys or other sub quest keys such as the coffer keys for BRD.
Not sure how i feel about the revamped AV yet. Seems like it's now a steam roller race to the end instead of actually having to have a little strategy to get to the Horde's resource hut.
Other than that, i do enjoy the new aspects of this patch. Just beef up that keyring a little more, okay?

Love the new polymorph spell for mages! Let's just say my macro has a little something to do with the movie Deliverance. Sooo-eeeeeeeeeee!!!
Only problem I've noticed tho is that polymorph seems to be breaking earlier than the normal 50 secs listed, I'm talking 10 seconds in....hopefully it'll be fixed and isn't a "working as intended" moment.

Say, where can you pick up the keyring?
PsyClerk Jun 21st 2006 9:56AM
You automatically get the keyring. It should be between the latency meter and your pack bar. If you don't see it, you have to remove all the folders for installed plugins. I had to do that, as just disabling the plugins didn't work.
This patch has been a nightmare so far.

You automatically get a keyring when you get your first key. It appears just to the left of your bag slots. If you don't have a key, I don't believe it shows up.
I only have one key (Scarlet from SM) and it was in the bank, but it still showed up when I logged in after patching.
