Patch 1.12 Preview

After the release of patch 1.11, Blizzard has wasted no time in posting an overview of what to expect in the next content patch. On the agenda are cross-realm battlegrounds, a completely new world PvP system (which suggests to me something along the lines of Arathi Basin, only un-instanced), and (of course!) the rogue talent review. I'm quite interested in seeing how these PvP changes flesh out, but this is all the news we have for now. Stay tuned for more news as it becomes available!

I'm cautiously optimistic about the cross-realm BGs... they could salvage the battleground situation at level 60 on servers like Firetree. If there are dozens of teams from each faction in the same line, maybe the chances of being against a miserable 5 Marshal/4 Field Marshal premade will drop to somewhere below 98%.
Not to mention some cap&hold world PvP could be a great time if Blizzard gets it right!

I think this will actually make lines longer. From what I understand.. Alliance has to wait longer than horde. So if you group 5 servers with longer alliance wait times, against horde that rarely queue up, then I have a feeling the wait time will grow to insane amounts of time.

I look forward to showing PVE players that PVP players really are better generally in PVP cause of massive amount of experience in PVP vs the average pve player.
Instead of ranting and flaming on vn boards in those pvp vs pve player comments..I can prove it by actions not words. >=)
Thats right....If your fighting against daggerspine count on seeing me in AV..right before I drive my dagger into you. =p

Well, you have to understand, Cava, that not everyone wants to have the high pressure of dealing in PvP. Not everyone has the time or the inclination to do so. The fact that one can choose PvP or PvE is a great option. To you; PvP is the reason you play. To me; PvE is the reason why I play. We're both happy and let's leave it at that.
As for the patch, I'm still waiting for the reconsctruction of the Paladins talents since they completely ruined it in 1.9.

have they ever made any (large) changes on class they changed in earlier patches? i wouldn't count on it happening much.

OH yah I know the clear differences of pve vs pvp types. You have your few leetest pve players bashing pvp on Vn boards and how skill"less" pvp players are.
That was a pot shot at them. I enjoy Both pve and pvp.
Equally.
Talent changes..Im looking forward to Rogue fixes. Im being out dueled by feral spec.....every time I think they are dead...they heal!! Bah Or every holy priest I go after an his 15 second cool down improved shield...bah...they just outlast me ...Dot kiting.
I feel for the paladins Ive always thought they had retarded skills. Maybe giving them some warrior attacks would help ..I dont know....but that seal dependency and pathetic dps sure makes them a laughable prospect in pvp. I tend to skip them not due to there threat......cause they have zero threat to me...Its the fact I have to fight them for LONG time that annoys me. SO i pass them up^^
To be perfectly Honest the paladin isnt playing a traditional mmorpg role....thats Def Tank. =
I truely think they should trash all the paladin talents and start from scratch...make them a Tank class. Givem taunts...aoe taunts...something...Hell if they are not gona give them DPS make them better tanks than warriors.
