World of Warcraft TCG: Hero Cards
More news on the front of the trading card game! Today, we're getting some explanation of Hero Cards - but with it comes a lot of other interesting information regarding how gameplay will work. If that's a bit too much to read, WoW TCG News gives a nice summation of what Hero Cards are and how gameplay is going to work. The information is still basic, but it becomes more and more interesting it sounds - and here I thought I'd kicked my old card gaming habits!Filed under: Odds and ends, News items

OMG it has finally come to this. What is going on is everything now about money. Blizzard has gone bananas. A trading card game. A bloody Trading card game. One thing I know about trading card games is that its evil. I know because I used to play Pokemon(YES it was a boring time) and Magic the Gathering and Yugioh. I always used to see the store owners who sold cards take out the rares and seal the package up. Then sell them for ridiculous prices. I bought boxes which to me was a cheaper and safe way of getting cards that i wanted. Now for this game I heard that there are cards that you can unlock stuff in the actual game. Bad Idea. By far the worst. So many reasons why from copying the code from someone who doesnt play the online game to robbery. As soon as i saw the card I said to myself this game is a combination of both. This game is another scam. Blizzard needs to stop stealing ideas. First from Warhammer now from Magic the gathering and Pokemon. Whats next Cartoon series? Better yet a movie? Man I hate this. People do yourself a favor see through the scams and if not dont buy single packs I warn you. Dont get ripped off.

The thing that makes me mad is the fact that they will start putting content into the MMORPG that can only be gotten from the CCG? Is my 16 dollars a month not enough for all the content in the game now I have to go out and purchase "Packs" for some of the gear I might want?
Oh and what if it an Epic or Legendary Item?
I can see those on Ebay already.

Hehe, conspiracy theories make me giggle. Keep it up B.S., I'm sure someone will listen soon.
As far as the card game goes, I might pick up a few for some special in-game cards, but with no local gaming shop or community of gamers to play with, I won't be diving in head-first.

and as for the cards..irritates me but as long as WoW is left untouched i could care less. tip: Blizzard DO NOT mix a card game with a best selling MMO that accounts for a fair share of your profits.

The game looks fine your all whiners, and the only in game content is cosmetics.
