The auctioneer tip is really useful. What I've been doing lately is to just try to control the market for one type of material (doesn't matter which one, as long as it's very popular). After you have loads, all in AH in fact, start selling them again, at lower prices... it's described kinda good here too, www.ahguide.com, but you get the gist of it anyway.
