Future Class Reviews
With the expansion hitting soon, it seems that the window for class reviews has come to a close. However, if you frequent the class forums on the official site, you will see several threads in each forum with people begging for another look. According to a blue response in this thread, Blizzard will continue looking at each class, and apply minor tweaks, rather than a massive overhaul. This is not entirely new information, but it is welcome news to those of us hoping for a little more attention for their class. Are any classes in need of a major fix? If not, what kind of tweaks are needed? Playing a Warlock, I have been pretty unhappy with my Doomguard. It seems more like a parlor trick than an actual useful pet. Sadly, the Infernal is not much better. I certainly hope these pets get a nudge into the realm of usefulness. I'm sure other classes have similar cases, for example I rarely ever see a priest with a lightwell. What else needs fixing?

Mages nearly universally agree that the Arcane talent tree could use some work. Wand Specialization is completely useless. Improved Counterspell should be made a trainable talent, just like Evocation was made a trainable talent.

Hunters could use another look. Other classes had tallent skills that most people considered "required" made trainable, why not a hunter's aimed shot? Any hunter will tell you that its needed, so why not free up some tallent points and make it a trainable?

Moonkin and the Druid balance tree needs changes to make it more effective. Entangling roots (or some form of it) should be made available indoors. The Moonkin should also have certain spells available to it (Mark of the Wild, Insect Swarm, Remove Poison, etc.) I agree Moonkins should not be able to heal, but other non-healing restoration abilities should be made available to it.

Feral Druids should be able to use items such as potions and trinkets while in forms.

Have to disagree with all these posts except the moonkin spells...
Cats taking potions? what about Ghost Wolf for Shammies then? no, I think it is good as it is. As for Aimed Shot being trainable... Pah (and my main was a hunter) The talents that have been made trainable are those that have made only one build in a class acceptable in end game instances. This is why the Druid talent changed and why manatide for Shammies should probaby be reviewed.
