Additional Downtime for Select US Realms

For some players, this weekend's adventures has had a distinctive theme - downtime. The same twenty realms that have been having problems since Friday are offline again tonight. Some maintenance was done on Saturday morning and afternoon to fix errors with the in-game mail system - but as to what's caused this most recent maintenance, there's no word. On the player side, symptoms were similar to Friday night's trouble, with an inability to rez, zone in, or use skills, peppered with occasional instances of falling through the world. While there's no official announcement, affected realms seem to include the original twenty problematic realms: Andorhal, Anetheron, Archimonde, Black Dragonflight, Dalaran, Daivengyr, Dentarg, Duskwood, Executus, Haomarush, Khadgar, Mal'Ganis, Norgannon, Scilla, Steamweedle Cartel, Thrall, Turalyon, Ysera, Ysondre, and Zuluhed.
Update: While the servers seem to be online Sunday morning, players are plagued by difficulty/inability to log on, as well as severe in-game lag (several minutes at times), inability to zone in/out of instances, empty mailboxes, random disconnects, etc. (Did I miss anything?) There are no updates on the fourms, and the message on the login screen is still from yesterday afternoon.
Update 2: Blizzard informs us that these are latancy issues that they are working to resolve.

Duskwood was a mess, i really wish they would fix this, its getting to the point where there is more downtime than up time. Its back up now, but we had to call off our raid because of the server issues.

A bunch of people in Turalyon were missing auctions and in-game mail. I lost a stack of Large Radiant Shards and a few other enchanting mats on the AH. Makes you wonder though that it only affected the realms in the same group as Battlegroup 5 (for the cross-realm battlegrounds).
I also find it ridiculous with the lack of updates on Blizzard's part and an explanation as to what was going on. They kept blaming the fault on their vendor.

I was starting to feel like I was losing resources by having my characters split up between servers, but its times like this that make me glad to have characters all over the place! :P

I actually started 2 new characters on a different server this weekend so i could at least get some play time.
I started a warlock/ human and got him to level 5 before starting another hunter which I got to level 7 before I was able to log back onto Duskwood. I made the huter a night elf since I have never played one. Now I can experience the Nightelf quests I have never seen when my main server is bellyup.

Yeah, I second Ghoti on Duskwood: it was a k-hole of aggravation and non-leveling. I was kinda hoping to ding 50 this weekend, but them's the breaks. Thank bog I have a level 6 hunter on Garona to keep me occupied. Much more entertaining than working on the 49 Hunter I have on Duskwood...
Yeah, THAT wasn't frustrating.
