Downtime Compensation for Select US Realms

Blizzard will be providing a 24-hour credit to the realms that were having so much difficulty over this past weekend, which I suppose is better than nothing. However, I must say that their list of affected realms doesn't match mine, or include mine, which was offline or unplayable for a good portion of the weekend. In fact, the list includes the realm Tanaris, which is the realm I rolled a new alt to play on while my usual realm was offline.
The realms 24-hour credits are being applied to include the following 31 realms: Aerie Peak, Altar of Storms, Andorhal, Anetheron, Anvilmar, Black Dragonflight, Blackwing Lair, Dalaran, Dalvengyr, Deathwing, Demon Soul, Dentarg, Doomhammer, Executus, Gnomeregan, Haomarush, Icecrown, Jaedenar, Kel'Thuzad, Khadgar, Lethon, Onyxia, Scilla, Sentinels, Tanaris, The Venture Co, Thrall, Turalyon, Uldaman, Ysera, and Ysondre.
However, the 20 realms that were experiencing downtime throughout the weekend were these: Andorhal, Anetheron, Archimonde, Black Dragonflight, Dalaran, Daivengyr, Dentarg, Duskwood, Executus, Haomarush, Khadgar, Mal'Ganis, Norgannon, Scilla, Steamweedle Cartel, Thrall, Turalyon, Ysera, Ysondre, and Zuluhed. It looks like they've missed 6 of the original problem realms and added numerous realms that weren't listed as having problems over the weekend. Is anyone else confused?
Update: The list of realms has been modified to one that appears to be accurate. The official post on the subject can be found here.

What the hell? Now I'm angry. Mal'Ganis was more or less down all weekend. No compensation? But compensation for Blackwing Lair? Which I made an alt on and everything was fine? Ok..

24-hour credit - who cares!!!! that was my flipping weekend, worth more than a few pennies - in my country you cant even purchase anything with that, not even a stamp, a stick of gum costs 4 times the credit given.
some extra rest xp would have meant something!!!
if i was a Orc i would do a hulk smash into my desk - me mad!

I am confused at the qualification for these credits. Correct me if I'm wrong but could I go through and make a lv 1 char on every server so that evertime they give out a credit I get free play time?
Their methods seem ill-thought out. It seems like they should only give credits if someone has used a character on that realm in the past week. But hey, I'm just a lowly programmer with no knowledge of how easy it would be to run such a query with the proper database in front of me.

Whats worse is that I have 2 alts on Anetheron which I havent played in a week. When I logged in after the server finally came back up last weekend, I had only 1 bubble of rested status. WTF? I should have had almost a full level of rest. 1 day of credit means less to me than leveling my character with rested status.

Gwito, Blizzard is somewhat vague about how the compensation is applied. While their post says that credits will be applied to "active accounts that have characters on the affected realms," it's unclear as to how they define "active accounts." The fact that they use the term "account" rather than "character" suggests that simply the account needs to be live in order to receive compensation, but that may or may not be the case. If they just apply blanket compensation, what's to stop players from creating alts on the a few realms in each server cluster and then getting compensation whenever a cluster's down?
At any rate, the compensation may be applied in a more intelligent way, but I don't have (nor have I seen) the data to know for certain.

They should be giving everybody free days for patch days cause this is just BS crap. Every single patch day servers go up and down. I at least connected to my server, but whenever I enter world, it just goes back to the char screen. Freakin' blizz -.-
