Wednesday Maintenance on US Realms
Numerous US realms were pulled down starting this morning because of unspecified problems which may be related to the cross-realms battleground system. Tseric only provided us with the information that the realms were remaining offline because they were undergoing battlegrounds testing, but this may have something to do with the problem of missing characters as well (as the final realms offline for maintenance seem to match the realms with missing characters). However, all realms should be back online and running as of 3:10 PM PDT. If you're still having problems, however, you may wish to page a GM or post about it in the customer service forums.Filed under: Realm News, Realm Status

Kinda hard to page a GM when your whole realm is down (Earthen Ring). GG Blizzard. I logged on to respec my rogue, and couldn't even get through the process. Tried a little later to play an alt on another server and got shat out of THAT system.
What exactly are we paying for, again? And don't give me that "it's complex" argument. Blizzard is making enough money they can afford to hire trained professionals and perform their test and updates using methodologies consistent with modern IT standards. Of course it's complex. That's why you should hire people who know what they are doing and get the friggin' game designers out of your server room.
