Burning Crusade Abilities Updates
Tseric posted - rather cryptically, I must say - telling us that the talent and abilities page for the burning crusade had been updated. However, he left it to us to figure out what changes may have been made. I've only noticed a few minor changes - though I certainly might have missed something. If anyone has seen any other changes, please leave a comment and let everyone know. However, I've seen the following, which I don't believe were there before...- The paladin's consecrate spell will now be a trainable spell for paladins starting at level 20 (and the rank at level 70 will do 592 holy damage over 8 seconds).
- The paladin's tier 1 protection talent, redoubt, had been changed. Previously, it would incerase the paladin's chance to block with a shield after being a victim of a critical strike. Instead, the increased block ability will have a 10% chance to proc off all melee and ranged attacks.
- The rogue's evasion ability will now also reduce the chance ranged attacks hit the rogue by 50% for its duration.
- The warlock's unstable affliction ability (41-point affliction talent) now, in addition to doing damage to the dispeller when dispelled, silences the dispeller for 5 seconds. Additionally, the mana cost for the top rank has been lowered.
- The warlock's seed of corruption ability now has text suggesting that only one "corruption" spell can be on the target at any one time.
Update: Okay, I'm leaving keeping up with all of the little changes to the professionals. There's a great (and very detailed!) list of all of the tweaks up on the official forums.

Does this mean that a rogue belonging to a player who has purchased the Burning Crusade will receive the new evasion's benefit against ranged attacks, and a rogue belonging to a player who didn't buy the expansion won't?

Spartacow, I think they're going to update all versions of WoW when the expansion comes out, most likely allowing the new level cap, spells, and talents to be used by all, but the new races and areas would be for Expansion players only.

I believe Amethyst is correct. Players who do not purchase the expansion will not be able to access levels 61 to 70 or the new zone - but lower level talent changes should impact everyone.

Consecration was listed as a trainable spell when the talent and spell updates went live earlier. At least, that's what I (and most other people) looking over the Paladin changes thought.
Another huge change is that the Paladin talent redoubt is now much more useful. Instead of granting +30% block when the Paladin is the vicitm of a critical strike, it now has a 10% (I think...30% maybe?) change to go off on any melee hit. One of the largest criticisms against the Protection tree was that it was too reliant on getting critted - now there is one less reason for that criciticsm. Simply awesome.

I know it was no longer shown as a talent in the talent tree, but I'm fairly sure the information listed in the skills section is new - though perhaps the real news is the specific numbers on the ability at level 70 (592 holy damage over 8 seconds).

In addition to damaging anyone who dispells it, Unstable Affliction now also silences the dispeller for 5 seconds.

Also, the top rank of Unstable Affliction now costs 400 mana instead of 545; and the limitation "Only one Corruption spell per Warlock can be active on any one target" has been added to the Seed of Corruption description, implying that you can have either Corruption or SoC up on one target, but not both.

In addition, we won't be able to gank anyone anymore since they 'fixed' reckoning.
And locks are still overpowered.
