To ss and hammy:1) There is nothing inherently wrong with using a dagger to tank. There is nothing that a sword can do that a dagger can't. However, the increased weapon speed from a dagger can be useful, but probably not necessary as the damage he should be taking in Scholo is not going to generate more rage than he can dump with a slower weapon. This, combined with the lack of daggers that have good tanking stats is the reason you don't see many warriors with daggers as main-hand weapons, not because there is something fundamentally wrong with using a dagger to tank.2) If it was a crappy dagger, then yes, it's going to gimp his damage and thus his ability to hold aggro. Your tank had poor gear and did a poor job. It sounds like he was in need of a good weapon to use for tanking, but maybe that's why he was running instances. Sorry you had a bad experience.
