More potential BC priest info
A poster on the WoW Europe forums claims to have gotten hold of the Burning Crusade priest talent trees.These talents differ form what was leaked earlier, so as always, take them with a grain of salt.
In case Blizz takes down the post on their forums, which they likely will, I will post the potential talents after the break.
Where oh where are my hunter talents?
[Thanks jpc]

These smell a lot more authentic to me. They were originally posted on the curse-gaming.com forums back in March. Here is the link to the thread:

You're welcome spencer. I just wish that there was an official release to confirm it or that the holy talents were better. The 41point talent is very nice, but you have to invest 7 points in crap to get there. Atleast the Disc/Shadow trees look ok...
jpc Sep 6th 2006 2:32PM
synack, aren't those exactly the same?

4. Aura of the Chosen
Requires 5 points in Rapture
Requires 40 points in Holy Talents
Instant
Light radiates from you, healing the friendly target and all party members within 30 yards for 1% of their total health every 2 seconds.
Make that 1% of Hp's and Mana and it really would be worth it. Otherwise waste of Points

@jpc.
Yes that's what I meant. The ones posted here are the same I read at curse. Poor choice of wording on my part. I feel like these talents sound more legit than the "Champion" ones from the other day.

These do sound a lot more reasonable than the previously posted priest rumors, but they're still not particularly flashy... (Which is to say that they do nothing to really make me change my mind about rolling a paladin.)
I'm still keeping my fingers crossed, though...

I don't really know what you people gripe about with regards to the higher end holy talents. Are they uber-pwn l33t? No.
Are they useless? Nope, not that either!
"Lolwell" isn't bad at all for me as a priest, I put one up at the start of a boss fight, then I click it after getting aggro and have it heal myself back up again. It's not really any damn good for any of the other party members, but as my own reuseable personal bandage with no cooldown it works just fine.
The top-tier talent seems great to me. Assume you have like 3000HP, 1% of that while inside the aura is 150 a second, ALL THE TIME. How can anyone say that is bad? This is a considerable heal-boost. Best of all is if it affects me as well, which I assume it does. :P
I do wish though that Blizz would introduce some better form of escape for us priests than simply AoE fear, bubble, renew + run. For this to work assumes fear isn't on cooldown, the mobs attacking me AREN'T UNDEAD, and that bubble isn't on cooldown + that I have mana to throw all that sh!t on myself. And that I don't get more adds on the way either, or that the feared mobs won't catch up with me again and pound my shield to bits and chop me to pieces (very likely with higher level baddies).
I'd LOVE to have a summonable cherub-type pet that would hover around me and GRABS AGGRO ONLY. Ie, not fly away like a hunter pet to attack, but simply counterattack stuff that wails at me. It would have 4 spells, all of whom runs on mana.
These would be: a 'growl' type spell that threatens a single enemy, a 'screech' type spell for AoE aggro, one that lets it heal itself and a final spell that lets me drain it of mana. That would be great I think...

@Faar:
So basically, you want a Voidwalker with a built in Dark Pact. Wouldn't that be nice?

the link from curse-gaming forum wasn't posted on March, it was 3rd of sept 06.
Chubby Sep 7th 2006 9:12AM
Faar 3k HP's would equal to 30 HP regen per tick under this aura. Pretty useless especially in higer end game when things hit you for 1-2K plus and very fast.
Your pet aggro Idea really is a cool idea. Would love to have lets say an OWL or some type of bird that doesnt attack just sits there and waits to grab aggro from you, I know this will never happen but It is a really nice idea.
Honestly we as priest are really not hurting when it comes to escapability, IF timed right you can always have either Fade or Fear up. Shield FTW. Runs Razorgore event 1Million times and trust me you become an expert on keeping 1 of those timers active at all times.
Cheers

The champion stuff is going to be new spells that we get. It's still going to be there as far as I can tell. As far as getting away, I think we'll be getting a new spell called 'shadow blink' which should help us some with that. Now, all of this stuff is based on leaked info from a beta/alpha so who knows if it'll still be the same.
Faar, the main problem with lightwell, for me anyway, is that Spirit of Redemption (aka ghost that laughs at me for dying) is a prereq. I really think the SoD animation should be made invis to the living similar to the spirit healer...
