World first: Kel'Thuzad downed by Nihilum
Well, we all held our breath when they got him to 1% -- and now KT is down. Horde guild Nihilum, on the European server Magtheridon, have beaten Death and Taxes to the world first (just as they did with the similarly-bugged C'Thun). Congratulations Nihilum! As well as putting together an image showing the loot, Nihilum have also released a mp3 of the ventrilo conversation for the kill; you may want to cover your ears!
[Thanks, toolmonkey]

It's really hard to say whether or not they would've beaten DNT because of the stupid bug. However, I give them much congrats, especially for 2 1% wipes on their 3rd and 4th tries, absolutely amazing.

Who's Kel'Thuzad?

Congratulations, guys! Thanks for all of your dedication. I think the rest of the world was starting to wonder if he was only a mirage. ;)

Well, that was amazingly fast. Was he that "easy" or are they just that good. =[

Congratulations, Nihilum. Horde FTW.
I don't like how it kind of turned into a USA vs. Europe competition (as evidenced by the D&T forums), but this is one hell of an accomplishment.
Also, Zweibel...have you ever raided C'Thun? Even post-fix, the guy is obscenely difficult. I don't think KT is ANY less difficult. I'm sure this was a hard-earned win.

You ask that question like it will some how determine the integrity of my comment. That does not sit well with me at all. =P
That being said, my comment was merely pointing out how surprised I was that Kel'Thuzad was taken down so quickly. Heck, I even put the word "easy" in quotes just like I did now. I knew that the bug with C'thun contributed to his longevity as a raid boss. In fact, I know first hand how difficult C'thun is.
The last guild I was in was a "hardcore" guild on Sargeras-A. We were even down to having each other on call status should a world dragon or boss spawn. That combined with the fact that I was in college full-time, holding a full-time job, and raiding the rest of the time nearly killed my World of Warcraft experience. Sure it was fun, but my social life started to suffer just a bit. It was hard, but I finally just quit the guild and my characters to start over again as a semi-casual. I plan on returning to the world of raiding once I finish leveling my priest and warrior.
So in short, yes I have raided C'thun. I as well am sure that Nihilum earned their kill. I hope this satisfy's your question.
