Breakfast Topic: Where does your money go?
Ever found yourself looking at your pitiful stash of gold and wondering where on earth it all went? Log in daily to find yourself spending more cash than you earn? Once you reach a 'comfortable' amount of money (for me, it's about 200g) it's easy to spend freely, but a gold here and there quickly add up, putting you on the fast track to Brokeville.Personally, I find almost all my cash goes on repairs and potions -- with a recent unlucky streak of multiple wipes due to lag, I've definitely been haemorrhaging money during raids. PvP is also costly, though at least I don't have to provide ammo or feed a pet. Thank goodness I have profitable tradeskills! Where does your cash go, and how do you juggle the demands on your pocket?

Using the cost tracker thingie in the CT mod package, it seems that I spend way too much money on repairs and ammo.
Oh, um... and the hookers.

I personally only see money problems if I'm not playing a character any more but still doing raids on it.
With my Rogue I got bored of lately, I only logg in for raids, while spending my time on playing my Warlock.
My Rogue is always in Money troubles, while my Warlock has always above 1k gold.
The most money definately goes into repairs, and enchants. Anytime an enchant is needed for something new I just got I visit the AH to get myself the mats.
But basically, as long as you do grind Rep somewhere you are out of money problem :) ..

Ammo, pet food, crafting supplies. I've got about 10 gold at level 52 on my current main, while my girlfriend (who's been playing her warrior less than I've been playing my hunter, and doesn't craft) is approaching 100 gold. /sigh

I haven't yet hit a level where I have a steady supply of money. Right now, I go broke every two levels - mostly due to training costs. I was so proud of myself for getting and keeping 13g all the way from Lvl 36-38...then I hit 38, and I was down to 58c. I couldn't even fly anywhere!! And then I made 5g and spotted a 5g off-hand I really wanted on the AH...back to coppers.
I find my repair bills and replenishing food/drink from instance runs isn't too bad on my bank account yet...it's the every two levels training and gear buying that keeps me in the poor house.

Where does it go? Well, I'll tell you where it goes... gold farmers! Those little bastards sneak into my inn room at night and steal it right out of my [Mooncloth Bag]! ;Þ
On an honest note, my money most goes to AH'ing for patterns for my dual-crafter. Mats aren't really an issue, but the prices of patterns is outrageous!

In the past week, I've only ran instances and actually made about 40G (that includes paying for repair/arrows). So that keeps me in line with most things I need to pay for, occasional mongoose and agility pots. However I do catch myself farming for Felcloth every so often to get my alt's prepared for their trade cool down. 4g/1x felcloth on my AH is a killer when I can get over 8 + 5 major mana/health pots + greens, trash, etc. in less than an hour.

I spend on average 20-30g a raiding night on repairs in Naxx. Considering Each boss we down gives aboutp 2-4 gold, my repair costs are usually not covered.

Being a level 56 Pally, I spend most of mine on repairs, skills, re-specs, and crafting ingredients. I did just install the DepositBox mod, and thats seemed to help me out.
I set mine to automatically move 70% to my "savings". Basically it's helping me "budget" my spending as well as letting me forget exactly how much gold I really have. I was hovering around 30-50 gold, but now I've got almost 100. My bag display shows I've got 2-5 gold in my "checking".

I currently have abotu 750 gold because I'm saving up for my epic mount. It's a bit sad to think that once I buy the mount I will have ZERO money though!

I have yet to start raiding heavily on my mage. But With my hunter almost all money went towards repairs, ammo and pet food. Especially since i did a lot of eob pulling with my dog. The repairs are just insane, and I see no reason as to why the costs are so high.
Only reason I don't go broke is because I do a mix of gathering and crafting. Free cloth, and disenchantables when I kill stuff for my hunter while earning money from the mobs I kill. And my mage picks herbs and cloth/boes to sell or disenchant while I use her. But I want saber mount for my mage...so thats going to change soon =(
wtb runecloth and ungoro soil pst

I have a level 35 NE Priest who picks herbs, does alchemy, fishes, cooks, and knows first aid. I never have to buy potions or food, and can effectively heal myself and others, as long as we have a break from the action once in a while so as to replenish my mana. My only complaint is that I've maxed out on everything but fishing and have to wait until level 40 before I can learn more cooking and first aid. On the plus side though I've been able to save about 90g and can't wait to hit 40 and get my Nightsaber. Now all I have to do is decide which one I want. Decisions, decisions.

20-30g repairs is kind of insane. They should put in a 5g cap for repairs, or something similar.
Some people hardly have time to raid, let alone farm for gold so they can attend the raids.

All i do is grind. So I have close to 300 gold
in my opinion, grinding is better then running instances. I can ern the gold to buy gear from the AH in less time then running a place several times.

I am a 32 warrior and find repairs and potions are my big money spender. I am a miner/blacksmither and wish that Blizzard would let blacksmiths, leatherworkers and tailors fix their respective armor.
