Breakfast Topic: Revenge!
There are some beasts you'll encounter in Azeroth that you'll never quite forget. Not because they were massively scripted encounters of epic proportions, but because they managed to outwit you -- perhaps several times over. There you were, walking along, peacefully minding your own business, picking flowers in Un'Goro -- when suddenly a huge devilsaur appears behind you. (Devilsaurs are very stealthy for their size!) You try to run, naturally, but you can't escape the devilsaur's huge stride once he's sighted you, and he devours you in a single bite. Of course, the devilsaur is hardly the only beast in Azeroth to play such tricks -- and on most such creatures I vow to return at a later level for revenge. And what about you? Do you find yourself returning to zones ten levels later and avenging earlier deaths?Filed under: Breakfast Topics

one of the best aspects of naxxaramas:
ganking the scarlett courier with your guildies while waiting for the raid to form up. payback for all those times they ganked me...

I make it a point to kill those elite dinosaurs in Un'goro every time i make it down there. (about once every 2 months)

Defias Pillagers. Westfall.
They must PERISH. PERISH IN RIGHTEOUS FIRE.

After my warrior hit 60, I happened to be passing through UnGoro, and I finally decided to take my revenge on those stupid devilsaurs. Plus, because I have a gnome warrior, I thought it would be hilarious to see the little guy whipping up on those huge dinos.
So I wandered around until I found one, charged in, and started laying the smack down. Got him to about 1/2 before he feared me (I was laughing at him the whole time, of course), so I started to switch over to berserker, but it was too late-- I ran right into the demon from the Epic hunter quest. She one shotted me before I even knew what was happening. I thought the devilsaur had gotten the best of me yet again.
Since then, I stay away from Un Goro.

Hogger, Van Cleef, Thermaplug, Herod...; these are all foes I slain upon reaching 60 in order to get my revenge!!!!
Trudie Sep 20th 2006 12:30PM
Definitely Stitches. Each time I'm heading to a Zul'Gurub raid, I ride through Duskwood, and many times I've had the pleasure of tearing up that nasty monster on the way there. One time a lowbie asked for me to send him a group invite so he could have the femur, so I did.

I play on a pvp server, so when I first got my mount there was some firey revenge to spread (without mercy) to all those alli around arathi highlands & ashenvale, and other such zones.
Revenge is a dish best served coold, so I make it a point to kill pets first, then their masters. This way they have to get them back out again before they can keep going with their business.
Dr. Woo Sep 20th 2006 12:33PM
The Outriders in the Barrens. They get slaughtered.
Sons of Arugal. They go down quicker than an 18 year old blondie on prom night.
Murlocs. As many and as often as possible. Even though as Horde, your Murloc encounters are few and far between.
Wordman Sep 20th 2006 12:42PM
Spiders. Any.

"...once he's SIGHTED you..."

The hyenas in the Barrens, or any such animal. Since the beta they have been a thorn in my side. Their aggro zone is huge and they wander - or in my case - they seek out a poor warrior or hunter when he has just taken a beating from a harpy or some goblin miner. I will stop whatever I'm doing to "smack-down" a hyena with my lvl 58 hunter... revenge is swwweeettt....
Saalix Sep 20th 2006 12:53PM
I'd also have to go with the Outriders in The Barrens...let's just say they were KOS when I was above level 30.
Matt Sep 20th 2006 1:02PM
I don't believe in revenge...only in righteous justice.
Geo Sep 20th 2006 1:17PM
Any Defias is pretty much KOS for me. They were the bane of my existance when I first started playing. One time I took my level 25 Rogue and picked pocketed all the Defias in Moonbrook.
Stoutwell Sep 20th 2006 1:23PM
All. The. Damn. Time.
For Baehoo Sep 20th 2006 1:43PM
Groups of Gazelle like creatures in the Barrens , they annoy me
Glowing Sep 20th 2006 1:44PM
No revenge for me...It doesn't seem fair for me to get pissed off that them when I ran into their patch of grass or little camp to kill them first. What if they wanted revenge on me? How would I feel if they turned up at my house "on a quest" to kill me and my loved ones?
Live and let die.
