BC Leaks: More pics, areas, and Arena PVP sets
By the rate we're going, we're going to have the whole expansion in front of you before they even announce the release date. Readers Mordicieus and Nelson have dropped more BC leaks in the comment box, and we're bringing them to you.- Lots of weapons: 1h and 2h axes, 1h and 2h maces, 1h swords, daggers, something new called glaves (glaives? they look like the double swords those night elves have), staves, and ranged.
- More tier 4 stuff: Paladin, Priest, and Rogue.
- Lots and lots of monsters: Arakkoa, Arcane Golem, Doomguard, Hydra, Lobstrokk (anyone out there a Dark Tower fan?), Nightbane, and Warpstalker
- NPCs (spoilers be here): This guy, this girl, this thing, this thing, and this... who is that?
- Areas: Karazhan (1, 2, 3), Nagrand (1, 2), Netherstorm, the other side of the Dark Portal, Tempest Keep, Terokkar Forest, and Zangar Marsh.
- And finally, there's this-- which we're told is a big picture of all the Arena PVP armor sets available. There's some really good stuff in there, but exactly what is "resilience"? Now, it could be because this set was translated from French (I saw the original French shot), or it could be because this stuff is all extremely fake.
[ Thanks Mord and Nelson! ]

With those PvP sets, either I'm blind or there isn't a Hunter set in there, and there happens to be 2 sets for Shaman? Really odd...

I just viewed the Lobstrokk's and all I gotta say is; "Di-da Chick?"

There were two shaman, druid, and paladin sets. One of each seemed healer caster, while the other seemed combat. And no hunter set. But yeah hit rating and some of those other terms, someone release a spoiler on WTF they mean

It is funny the more stuff you see for the xpack makes you more excited and the more stuff I see for the xpack makes me even more glad that I quit the game. Blizzard really screwed up they don't know how to run an MMO they should stick with what they know RTS and MORPGS. Give me warcraft 4, diablo 3, starcraft 2, or something besides more WoW. Blizzard you are gaining more people everyday but you have forgotten the people that supported your games in the beginning. But I guess with no more Blizzard North it can be expected. Flagship Studios here I come.
From how they have been releasing info I wouldn't be surprised if they removed the hunter class completely.

Jarquin, I love how people like you don't know how to do anything but bitch. If you do not care about WoW and stopped playing the game long ago, why do you still read about it? You come and bash the xpac but you give no reasoning behind it. If you want your opinion to be considered, state some information to back up why you have that opinion. Thank you and goodnight.

The way they designed the Hunter is just hard to balance out. You can't just give us more agility, ranged atk pwr, etc. because of how fast we can burst damage. Within 3 seconds we can do the most burst damage, but they can't up agility to allow us to compete DPS wise in PVE, because it would just make us too powerful in PvP. GG Blizz. Aimed shot + auto shot + multi shot = if any crit, will kill any cloth wearer. No wonder people say nerf hunters, PVE, we simply can't keep up with mages or rogues. Especially in Naxx and BC since they have a lot more aggro and threat reduction.

From what I understand they are changing the way crit percentage works so you have a crit rating. This will scale automatically with level. So for example (made up numbers) a crit rating of 10 might be worth 5% crit at level 60, but only worth 2% crit at level 70.
And resilience is (again from what I've heard) the counter-balance to crit rating in defensive form, so at higher levels you'll need more of it for it to be worth something to you.

In the Dark Tower they were lobstrosities, but close enough I guess. Now all we need are the irradiated muties.

Yeah, the expansion has a change to the hit%/crit% mechanics, and it's now based on a rating (kind of like how THAC0 changed in D&D 3rd edition). This is meant to help items scale better with levelling, so that something like Blackhand's Breadth (2% crit) isn't still being used by a level 70.

I have found a Tier 4 Showroom in WoW Exposed blog here! Tier 4 looks so cool (I hope to see some stats about these in the near future) ;)

The site is : http://d0h.de/wow/t4/showroom.php
Sorry for the second comment but I didn't notice that I couldn't add a tag :P

Where is the agility on the rogue stuff?
Jack Sep 22nd 2006 1:44PM
I've been reading that the male BE models have been given alot of changes to their face. I'd REALLY like to see those. Including some facial hair.
A nice evil goatee would look cool on the new BE Warlock I'm going to start up.

@Adam
It looks like rogues are going to be losing a lot of the +AGI stats in favor of increased crit rating & attack power. Sort of like the revamped PVP gear from... 1.10?

Mordiceius,
I'll have you know I quit the game less than a month ago and believe it or not I like to read video game news. As to bashing the xpack look at what blizzard has done with WoW before BC. Impossible to do anything to make yourself on par with endgame raiders if you don't play the game atleast 6 hours a day. Some people say oh you can pvp, that is atleast an 18 hours a day commitment for a few months to get something that on some classes isn't as good as tier 1. Dungon sets? hell no they arn't worth the time and mats.
The reasons I quit:
1) They don't know how to balance hunters, my favorite class.
2) Blood Elf Paladins
3) Dreni Shamen
4) Highend raid set to 25 people so they just screwed out 37.5% of their end game players. What about ZG or AQ20?? they were not made as hardest/best instance in the game.
5) Coming out with expansion before they even fix they game they have.
6) Blizzard has been more careless with this game than anyother game they have, releasing patches that don't work followed by frequent down time on servers they wouldn't take the time or money to fix until the expansion. Diablo II was also a very popular game, free online play at that, and I don't remember nearly as much downtime on bnet same with any previous Blizzard game.

Hey Mike how about you ask before you hotlink or follow Shane's advice and get yourself a photbucket or imageshack account.

I’m not upset or anything at this article being posted. I was just a little aggravated at the hundreds of people that copied / pasted this article and it just slamming me down.
I posted the pictures and I accept the responsibility of them being spread around. Sure didn’t have any idea they’d be this popular. = )
