Breakfast Topic: The skills you miss

Being a confessed alt-aholic, I will occasionally find myself running on an alt I haven't played recently and a bit confused about my hotkey layout. Why doesn't hitting "2" cast Power Word: Shield? Oh, wait, I'm playing my rogue... After playing one class for a while, it's easy to get accustomed to pressing the right buttons by habit, and while I try to arrange my buttons in a way that similar situations (across different classes) will use similar hotkeys this (obviously!) doesn't always work. So what's the one skill you have trouble living without when playing another character? For me, it's usually priest's ubiquitous heals -- even though they tend to be counterbalanced by the greater damage abilities. Filed under: Virtual selves, Breakfast Topics

I usually play a night elf priest, so when I helped out a friend by playing her troll priest one night it was an entirely new experience. However the spell I really missed at the time was Starshards, that and I had an insatiable urge to kill all the Horde around me. LOL

any buff: fortitude, mark of the wild, arcane intellect, any blessing. i especially miss these buffs on my warrior, rogue, hunter, and warlock. nothing beats not having to wait for a kind char to make my leveling efforts a little easier for the next 30 minutes. and no, potions and scrolls do not measure anywhere near an actual buff.

For some reason, I've made completely different keyboard layouts for each character, so I don't get too confused (plus it's nice when you play 2 accounts at once).
Being my main is a hunter, I miss not having Feign Death on all my alts :( Single best skill in the game o.O

Life Tap. I spam that spell like no other, so playing the Shaman (whose keybinding for Life Tap is actually Lightning Shield) makes it a bit different.

all i have is a 60 priest. just recently started a mage, and am constantly looking for my healing spells whenever i need healing...
another thing is when im on a friends computer (whether with my priest or whatever) or something, all my macros and other thing i have grown up (lvl wise) with are not there and i feel so out of place.

Sprint! My main is a rogue, and I started a lock for an alt. Traveling seems so much longer pre-mount without sprint.

After playing a Rogue to 60 and a feral druid for good about of time the one ability i miss most on all my other alts is stealth. "Oh, I remeber this quest, it's wasy I can just stealth past the..... oh wait, no I cant..."

I feel like I cannot live with my mage's porting around and conjuring water. I made a preist, and it's killing me not having the utility of Mage uberness.

Yeah, I sometimes end of hitting my "Stealth" button when using another class, then ending up walking into a group of mobs. No fun.
On one character I had the "R" button doing something I used a lot and then unfortunately on my Rogue, it was my "Vanish." Let's just say I wasted more than my fair share of Flash Powder. Not to mention that I sometimes hit it on accident when trying to strafe with my "E" key.

Distract. Not able to stop mob pathing and such while I'm stealthed on my druid is UBER frustrating. And playing two stealth classes definitely throws new kinks in the play, as they share a lot of the same chacteristics, but totally different abilities. More and more I find myself trying to kidney shot or gogue all the time only to keep getting smacked around. Grrrr... :P

Agreed with #13. I miss my mages porting ability when I play any of my other alts. I can't believe how long it takes to get around without it.
