Around Azeroth: Wisps around the World Tree

If you've ever been to Teldrassil -- and happen to have been possessed by the faintest amount of curiosity -- you've wondered how exactly a large tree might sit out in an ocean like that. And wondering about the boarders of the massive tree soon leads one to climbing along the branches to the edges and (usually) a long swim. Well, perhaps this shot, sent in by reader Michael will help quell your curiosity by showing us something of the edge of Teldrassil, and one of the wisps that you can find wandering about the branches.
Do you have a unique shot of Azeroth that you'd like to show off to the rest of the world? Tell us about it by e-mailing aroundazeroth@gmail.com! You can attach a picture file or send us a link to one -- and don't worry about formatting, we'll take care of that part.

Took me 4 deaths to get there, maybe 5. That is if that is the tree in Darnasus

gomntep - I've never tried it (as a horde), but you might have luck taking the boat from Dark Shore.
The first time I played WoW I rolled an Elf. A few days later I fell off the edge of teh World Tree and ended up roaming all around the tree as a ghost until findig the portal up to Darnassus (which was my first look time seeing that area too).
While I'm babbling to nobody in particular, WoW was my first intro to the Warcraft story and the land of Azeroth. I still remember the early days before leaving Teldrasill, looking at maps and being excitedly overwhelmed by the size of the world.

@ 6 and 7 It really is quite fun getting to Teldrassil. notably as as a lvl 10 Horde Hunter getting an aquiring an owl as your first pet. The basic are killing yourself under a ship (aka drowning) and then rez in the ships hold- jump off before docking, and make a mad dash though the gate. (you will be killed) then rez in the Graveyard of the starting area. tame your owl and hearth home :)
it was one of the best adventures I had early on in WOW

Made it to the bottom with no feather falls. First as a NE rogue looking for that stupid pickpocket quest. Mr. Owl, how many screams DOES it take to get the bottom of a World Tree? Let's find out.(AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!..... Dude, this is a totally tall tree. ........ AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!) Teldrassil is a seven-screamer..
That's when I discovered that in WoW, no matter how far you fall, if you land in water, you're safe. Yes, I lived falling off Teldrassil at lvl 12. I also found out that swimming AROUND Teldrassil is very boring, and that if you swim very deep and drown, you will rez at Auberdine. I guess that's one way to beat the boat...
Second time was with my Palladin. I took my Orphan base-jumping from Darnassus during Children's week.. Ah, good times... Did you know kids in WoW float real well?
