Breakfast Topic: Burning Crusade To Do List
Today's breakfast topic is an easy one...The moment after you finish installing The Burning Crusade, what is the first thing you are going to do?
While I would like to immediately run over to Outland with my warlock or pally and start the quest for 70, I think I am going to take a more laid back approach. My plan is to roll a couple alts and check out the new starting areas. I want to see those areas pretty badly, and I don't think they will be any more or less jammed than the new post-60 zones.
What are you going to do first? Roll a Blood Elf pally? Join the first instance party you can find?

I'm gonna take the new races for a test drive. Other than that, push to 70! Maybe take up some jewelcrafting...

First thing? Hand in all my AQ insignias Ill have saved at 3600xp a pop and get 61 (60x3600xp), presuming the hand in quest dont get nurfed.
leveling will be my priority, And I got a mule full of what I hope will be jewelcrafting mats ready to powerlevel, at least level as far as I can without having to see a trainer in Caverns of time or summin silly.

First of all I'm going to explore the newlands, and THEN check out the new quests...

Roll one of each new race to find out which one I like more...other than that I am just starting over. I haven't played much lately because it seems pointless because I am starting again with the expansion. Most people are probably playing their hearts out to get to 60 if they haven't already, but I figured since I have never been 60 I might as well start over...

I already have a notepad document entitled "Getting Jewelcrafting to 300". This document details all the little things I want done before the expansion so I can jump face first in and do my best to get it all the way the first day. Things on this list include everything from important stuff like getting up Argent Dawn and Timbermaw reputation to small things like collecting random stacks of all the types of cloth and other random items like Heart of the Wild which may come into use. Also, as soon as I heard that you "prospect" ore to get the materials you need, I collected 1000 of every ore possible, including dark iron. I feel that this tradeskill could be amazingly lucrative on the AH if you get the high level gem cuts the very first day.

I've been kind of saving ore. Not as much as 1000 each. I play a priest, and I plan on respecing first to a high Disc build with that new "Shield Wall" talent. Then start exploring. Dropping enchanting for jewelcrafting. Hit up some quests and get to 70, enjoying everything on the way. I want to run toward 70, but I don't want to skip over anything.

that handin is a good idea. was thinking about having 20 finished quests in my log to just hand in, but I wonder if handing in alterac insignias will be a better idea at 3300xp. Just wondering if that still works given the supposed heavy changes to the pvp system.
apart from that, put all the gems I have up on the AH, rush to outland to level mining a bit and put a few stacks of whatever new things there are up on the AH as well.

I think I will watch all the server crash from the overload of people trying to get on, while learning the basics of the wow card game that I will get from the collectors edition of BC. Huryay for server restarts and hot fixes.

1. Roll a blood elf pally
and the next day:
2. Have my human priest grind and quest for Draenei respect so I can buy one of their mounts :D

I turn in my PvP marks (or however they are called) and the argentum stars for experience. Its a nice start for levelling :)

First thing to do will be to try and move my BE character from the starting area to an area that has something to kill, won't disconnect me and doesent have idiots yelling "look at me, i'm from dragon ball z" or "ooo i am a paladin, bubble + hearth = win"

Roll a Blood Elf Warlock -- that combo of class and racial sounds way too scary: curse, dot, fear, suck mana, use up your mana reserves, rinse and repeat. Ouch.

Power leveling my druid to 60 so he can fly around in outlands will be a nice incentive.. Only 30 more levels to go.. :(

roll a belf lock and start grabbing rep on my main to get him a chocobo
Dyyne Sep 29th 2006 10:23AM
the day before BC comes, out, log my character off standing halfway inside the gate to the outlands =D

Step 1) Explore new alliance starting area.
Step 2) Kill as many as I can.
Step 3) ??????
Step 4) Profit.
/Yeah, I know it's too many steps, but at least I found it to be amusing.

Yes, I know I'll catch tons of crap for it but I am definitely rolling a Belf Pally for 2 reasons.
1) I have a 48 pally rotting away on Destromath and while I love the class #2 is why I abandoned it.
2) I finally get a chance to play my favorite class with the guild practically every one of my friends is in. And unfortunately for me up until now, they are a Horde guild. While I had a lock for a while i got tired and rolled my pally. Now I can have the best of both worlds...
Oh and I won't catch any flak from guildies for rolling a Belf pally.

I'm a casual player with no specific BC plans. My primary is only level 43, so I will just continue playing as normal. The good thing for me is, the mad rush to all the new content will have relaxed to a normal pace by the time I get there.
I've talked to about 400,000 players who intend to become jewel crafters, I so I will avoid that like the plague and stick with what I'm already doing for now.
I'm happy for everyone who was has been playing and is burned out on the original content. Should be a lot of fresh energy in the game for a while.

Not sure. Either my priest stays Holy and I instance my way to 70, or he respec to Shadow and grind. According to blizzard instancing should be doable all the way. That is probably the most fun way of doing it, but possibly a bit slower

It's a toss up. I'm excited to check out the CoT, or to check out the new BE area. It'll be a tough call, but we'll see when it happens.
