Breakfast Topic: Favorite race

You've got to have a favorite. Maybe they have a racial you just can't live without, or perhaps you particularly fancy one of their hairstyle options. (And, hey, with as long as you're likely to be stuck with the character, it had best have a look you like!) I have a fondness for Trolls, myself -- though I think that may be just a way of rooting for the underdog, with the Troll's less appealing racials. (If I were thinking practically, how could I turn away from the immensely helpful racial skills the Undead have?) Most people don't realize that trolls have an innate +10 Coolness ability (passive). True story.

my favorite race always has been and always will be the Gnome, their escapist artist skill comes in handy all the time especially when holding the flag in WSG or trying to save the main-healer in instances, however they are my favorite race for 2 reasons, they are cute(it's a passive ability i believe) and more importantly all gnomes have a bond with one another - we get random abuse all the time for no other reason than being gnomes from "tall-ies" which just pushes us together - if gnomes could have healing classes most of us Proud Gnomes would probably be in Gnome only guilds; Im sure thats the reason why gnomes do not get the option for healing classes. ^^ :p hehe

Plus, berserk for a hunter.... OWNS. Myself, I like the orc. What self respecting melee class would want to go without a 25% ap boost? Sure you get mortal struck for 25 seconds, but hey when your healer is down you do want your rogue to go done without a fight, blood fury ftw. Plus, they are the only horde race who can hide their feet. :)

Female gnomes! Small and cute FTW!
I pretty much play 1 human and 3 gnomes, but the Tauren are probably my favorite race story-wise. I like the look as well as the background story. Something about the Native American influenced background really appeals to me. Oddly enough, I only have one Tauren alt, and I havn't touched him in many months.

I like the culture and cities of the Tauren. My friends and I have an all Tauren group that we play on the weekends. But, I will admit, dungeons can be a problem. With five Taurens in a tunnel, it can be damn near impossible to see what's going on.

I've tried every race for at least a bit, and far and above all the races, I love the forsaken. I can't live without WotF, specially as a free insignia trinket at 60 when I can get much better trinkets

No-one is saying it cos it's obvious and they don't wanna get flamed but here it is:
Nelfs are the coolest! They swim the best, dance the best and somersault the best (heh :p).
Only thing that sux is the voice of the male Nelf. If you close ur eyes and listen tot he voice u picture a middle-aged man with pipe, cardigan and slippers.

Dwarves.
I play a dwarf male, but more specifically, I adore dwarf females. They're cute without having been designed to be so, have a weird cackle when they laugh, and have the right balance between Warcraft cartoon with that olde clichéd fantasy "epic-ness". But mostly I love the little bounce to their run. Too bad their dance sucks.
Speaking of dances, my runners up have what I feel are the best /dance in the game. Tauren females' electric slide is amazing. I know some people get off on the Alizeé riff, or find pelvic thrusts great, but the moocows look great when they dance. Likewise for most of the emotes for Troll males. Not only is capoeira cool, but they squat and look around to be small, and then extend up to tower over everyone else. It's too bad I play a Tauren male and Troll female. Greener pastures and all that.

Right now the best class is a male Tauren... But the best class will become the male Blood Elfs... you cant beat the Napolian dance...

I've always enjoyed the Undead. True, they have a very helpful racial ability, especially in BGs. Maybe it's just the metalhead in me, but I love their male dance.

Race with biggest coolness factor: Trolls, they were made to be cool.
Fav. Race: Undead (though overpopulated)
Soon to be favorite: Blood Elves
Stay away from da voodoo.

Its hard to say which I like best. I like certain aspects of most of them.
I can say which I don't like though. I don't like the ugly little Alliance races. The only one that is appealing is the Human, and the only one that is truely above the rest is the Nelfs.
I love all horde races though.

thay may be boring to look at but some much of this game is a rep grind and the extra 10% you get as a human realy helps.

Trolls...
Green afro? /silly emotes? awesome Jamaican voice? And lets not forget a troll shaman is considered the coolest wrecking force in the game.

I really enjoyed the aesthetics of my Dwarf male, but I so vastly prefer Horde, that it's not really an option for a "main." Undead racials (currently playing up a priest, so that's extra points) and quests are pretty fantastic, so they probably get the nod from me.

Tauren
Orcs
I can tolerate night elves, but wouldn't play trolls, undead, gnomes, or dwarves.

I'm 6'7'', so I tend to identify with the Tauren, although I'll always have a thing for Orcs - you can't beat the lore. I just can't stand Trolls because of their feet.

2 years before wow launch what made me pick my race was the abillity to play "Undead".
I've always wanted to play "skeletal" type undead in Mmmorpgs. SIck of the pink skin meat bags. There was no mention of racials at the time that didnt make me want undead.
I was fond of scourge from the RTS WC game. I always liked to play the skeleton in Dungeon Siege. I dunno.
I just love to be the undead avatar.
I was disheartened when WoW info released with no 3rd faction (scourge)...but Forsaken was my only route.
Hence now im a UD rogue,UD mage,UD warrior.
