Gamestop.com Burning Crusade CE: $69.99 [Update]
While this is not an official suggested price from Blizzard, and could possibly be proven to be incorrect, Gamestop.com is listing the Burning Crusade Collector's Edition at a healthy $69.99. Sure, you are getting a ton of stuff, but the first reaction from a couple of my friends was..."Wow. 70 bucks for an expansion CE? I don't know about that." However, my friends aren't the hardest of the hardcore, so their opinion might not be opinion of Blizzard's target audience. If I recall correctly, the original WoW CE was $79.99, so this is ten dollars cheaper, which makes sense, as Burning Crusade is ten dollars less expensive at launch than World of Warcraft was. I do think the CE is rather pricey. But again, you are getting a ton of stuff. And hopeless WoW addicts like me and my Australian best friend forever will surely pony up the seventy dollars.
What do you guys think? Too high? Just right?
[Update: The link at Gamestop is down. So maybe this is not a 100% sure thing as far as price .]

Meh, I'm willing to pay for it. Besides, i need a new mouse pad anyway.

It does seem expensive but I'll buy it. so I guess I'm just that addicted.... :)

I didn't buy the first CE, but I'll buy this one. $69.99 is a bit much, but I'm willing to pay it.

Don't miss that they are tacking on an additional $5 in shipping due to the "unusual size and weight" =/

I just got off the phone with an EB Games in Australia and was told that Aus. would not be getting TBC: Collectors Edition. This sounds fishy to me - if you're in Australia, I'd reccomend calling your local EB and making some noise about this. While I can't vouch for the number of Oceanic players, I'm sure our market is large enough to warrant a release south of the equator!

They should have just made it $100, cause I'd buy it no matter the price.

That's rather pricey, but logical. As the post says, it's ten dollars less than the original CE, just as the normal expansion is ten dollars less than WOW. So while it is a lot of money, it's not like we're getting ripped off. With all the nice extras packed in, I'll probably spring for it.

Well considering that the WOW Collector's Edition sells for 80-100 on eBay, it might not be that bad an investment/buy.

As I mentioned over on Joystiq, a sealed copy of the original CE can go for $300+. Hell, a used copy (one with an invalid CD key) goes for $50-$60.
Then again, there were only 75k units of the original CE. I wonder if they'll impose a similar limit on this one? If not, it won't be worth near as much later, and will only be worth the extra skrilla if you really like the included extras.

Honestly, I just added up the costs of the included items and I think its a damned good deal. I was gonna buy the expansion regardless but the inclusion of the two TGC game packs, a soundtrack CD (which CDs these days cost roughly $10-15 anyways), and the art book, it was too good to pass up. In fact, I already preordered it.

this sucks; because not only do I have to buy Zelda:Twilight Princess, a nintendo wii, NOW I have to spend 70$ on this too. sigh....

Now i'm a little worried. If I already put my money down to reserve a copy of TBC, do i have to shell out more for the CE or can I just use the reservation for the CE. I guess I'm calling my store.

I actually managed to order one before it went down. Noticed yesterday that my order still existed, but my friend couldn't order one. I called up Gamestop's online customer service (1-800-883-8895) and was told that it was taken down after it sold out. My order's set, so I'm happy. But, it sounds like there aren't going to be nearly as many of these as there is demand...
