Redra asks a fun question over on the forums: What items have you saved throughout the game as souvenirs? Not everyone plays the game as a packrat, but sometimes you come across an item you just can't bear to give up. For me, it was probably Lil Timmy's Peashooter-- I came across it early on in Deadmines with my warrior, and used it to pull all the way up to level 60. Of course, on my first raid, our MT checked me out, and the next day I had a gun in my mailbox with some Stamina and Strength on it. I thanked him and equipped the new gun, but felt a little pang of sorrow saying goodbye to my Peashooter-- in fact, it's still sitting in the bank.
There are some good ones in the thread, too-- Severed Night Elf Heads (from a previous iteration of AV), holiday items (I don't think my warrior has ever actually used that food horn, but I always have it with me just in case), early epics and set pieces, and quest leftovers. My shaman still has a charge or two left on his Mechanical Yeti-- I keep saving it thinking that someday we'll be in a raid fighting Raggy or Nef, we'll start to wipe, and my summoning the yeti will be the final straw we need to take the guy down. So what do you have taking up valuable inventory space that you can't bear to part with?

I may or may not have a Pet Rock (It looks happy.) that I carry with me always, since level 49 anyway.
A few weeks ago in BWL I needed to take my armor off so we could check our colors for the night and didn't have enoug inventory room... had my guild leader hold a few things for me. That was one of them. The amount of grief I got in chat was amazing. :>
I also have a horrible habit of keeping all the one use item quest rewards that may be cool in PvP... like the yeti thing.. and NEVER use them.. they just hang out in my inventory... Mmmm moist towelette...

A red vender-trash flower that my boyfriend gave me the first week we started to date, over a year ago.

My Lorespinner, from one of the Dire Maul quests.
I've used that thing for a really, really long time, and vendoring something that has been so trusty is simply heartless to me.

Barov's Peasant Caller. I just can't let my loyal servants go. Although they don't get much work to do sitting in the bank. :)

Call me a pack rat but I still have the mallet for Zul'Farak and the Scepter for Maraudon just in case someone's lower level needs to get their Carrot.
I still have my first red defias mask when I was a baby rogue. I have the rabbit's foot my wife gave me for luck and a mug of beer my son sent me in the mail because he knows daddy loves his beer.
I'm always running out of room but I'd rather vendor a stack of bandages for 2g instead of getting rid of my beer. No one gets my beer.

My 43 troll rogue still has 7 charges of Really Sticky Glue - a quest reward from around level 8 that casts a 10 second snare - that I'm saving for major emergencies.

After buying the game for my last Christmas and finally getting me to start playing a month...I logged in to play by myself at home for the first time and found a red rose sitting in my mailbox. That's definitely going to be a keeper.

As a dwarven character, I consider it essential that I keep the Mug O'Hurt and a Seer's Fine Stein (they both look like ale mugs) in my bags at all times. ;)

On one of my alts I have Cookie's Tenderizer. I just can't part with that rolling pin. It makes me laugh just seeing it. Imagine the look of surprise on other people's faces when I smack them upside the head with a rolling pin.

My Arcanite Reaper. It was such a big deal for me at the time that I don't think I'll ever be able to let it go. it's been in my bank for a year and 2 months now.
I've had that stupid mechanical yeti in my backpack since March of 05. Why can't I get rid of it?

Linken's Boomerang. Does like NO damage, but is REALLY cool to use when I run lowbies through WC. And sometimes in a raid if we've been wiping, I'll equip it and if we get the boss down near death I'll sling it and it gets a laugh after the take-down.

i cant believe nobody else has mentioned this one yet. linkens sword of mastery on my mage for the few occasions i bother with melee. no, melee on a mage with no melee stats is fairly useless, but every bit of dps helps on those damn skeletons in scholo that are immune to magic. i know there are better weapons, but even so, i couldnt bare to let the master sword go.

I held on to Nagelring (from the Golem guy in BRD) on my warlock forever, cause it was such an awesome magic find ring in Diablo 2.
