Note that Auctioneer only works on servers where there are few (if any) scam auctions and there is a stable economy. My PvE server is filled with auctions for various stacks of cloth/enchanting materials, often listed with a low opening bid and a buyout of 99g. Auctioneer sees these and can't tell that it's some jerk trying to rip people off.

In addition, my server sees prices fluctuate often, even on green items. I've seen sub-40th level greens selling for 8g. A week later, someone else will have that same item up for under 1g. It's a big crapshoot.

On my PvP server, Auctioneer works fine. So buyer (and seller) beware.
